Air Conditioning Temp

23 April 2013 - 05:14 PM

Hi,
I have a mk7 1.25 zetec 3dr 2011 model on a 61 plate, and was wondering how cold the air con should be when on full cold?
Its warm and sunny here down in london today, read 23c out Slight over read I think, but the air con does not feel that cold.

Put a thermometer in one of the vents and struggling to get it below 8c. Is this normal?
My old 2008 focus was like an ice cube on full cold!

I run the air con at least one every two weeks to keep it circulated
Cheers TB

Vin Number On Ecu

19 October 2012 - 11:54 PM

Hi,

On my old Focus, with the factory standard cd radio, you were able to go to menu, settings and show VIN number stored on the vehicle's ECU

Is there a way you can do this on the mk7 Fiesta?
Just bought it (from main dealer) and I am curious! :)

Cheers

2012 Fiesta 1.25 Zetec

11 October 2012 - 05:41 PM

Hi

My mate is getting a pre reg Fiesta 1.2 Zetec tomorrow and can someone please answer the following question.

Does the engine have a plastic cover over the engine  - as there are bolt holes on top of engine but no cover.
Also should there be a plastic undercover shield on bottom of engine?

Cheers mateys!

Air Con Drain Pipe Leak - Mk 2.5 Focus

25 September 2012 - 12:32 PM

Reposted as posted in incorrect forum to begin with (not sure how to delete it)

Hi,
After finding a leak on my Focus drivers footwell, I have found the leak from the air con drain pipe.
It is where the 90 degree angled bend joins to the floor tunnel to the outside.
The 90 degree bend seems to be loose and leaking.

Any ideas on how to tighten this up? Do I have to get underneath the car to do this?

Thanks TB
