Fs Fiesta Mk7 Aftermarket Stereo - Dvd Gps Etc

13 May 2013 - 03:21 PM

Hi All

I am selling my car so i have taken out my after-market stereo from my MK7 fiesta.

I purchased this stereo brand new from ETO's ebay shop at a cost of £350 about 2 years ago.

Its the same one thats in my Avatar on the left <--

This stereo looks OEM but better, it goes in the standard place and uses the standard buttons its just got a bigger screen that is colour and its a touch screen.

The unit does the following features:

colour touchscreen

New screen surround

Radio

CD/DVD/VCD

GPS (with updated maps)

Bluetooth hands free and music streaming

Iphone/ipod cable (Not iphone 5)

Digital TV (depends on reception in your area although was great for me when stationary)

replicates the car functions like indicator flashes (1 or 3) and the MPG or KPG etc

USB input

SD card input

Auto reversing camera input (camera not included)

I think that about covers it.

It really is easy to install, all you do is prize open the standard screen surround and pop the screen out, undo the stereo buttons and pull out the standard stereo box, plug all the wires into the new box and refit in the original position, refit buttons and put back new screen surround with screen built into it - job done

It comes with some really dodgy instructions but they are in terrible English and they are not really needed but if you have any questions when installing then i am happy to answer them for you.

This would be for cars up to and including 2010 because it will not replace the ones with the updated stereo unit which came in at the end of 2010 i think. if you stereo has the connectors like these:

then this unit will fit your car.

The only issue i had with mine when it was installed was the fact that the steering wheel controls didn't work with the unit, however that is because mine was a late 2010 car and they obviously stuck the old stereo in but changed something on the steering wheel controls. the rest of the features worked fine.

If you have any questions then please let me know.

I would be after about £200 for this unit and it comes in the original box with everything you need to make it work.

So if you have an early MK7 then why not get a decent stereo for it?

Thanks for looking

Ken
