Hiya

I know of a number of diff cars having the same problem it is a faulty door lock and some times the only way to get the door open is to break the motor/lock itself the pug 406 use to have the same problem and the fiat stilo/188 punto, the cost is more labour than a door lock, and some times you can shock the lock by locking and unlocking but be aware you can over heat the motors and will stop working for a few seconds while they cool down, it would pay to try and give it ago yourself i work in a garage and the past week we have done a few door locks on diff cars with the same fault. it does take abit of time to free/break the lock free without too much damage.

Thats the way they are for some reasion my 05 plate zetech was the same this is standard on the zetech model only one touch down on drivers side.

You know what i love the st3 your colour and the sea grey i just cant get insured on the dam things as had too many clames doh!!!

Hiya

I have hurd of a number of things that can cause the same problem you have,

1. is the track rod ends these seem to dry up and can cause i noise

2. is the lower arm ball joints i had mine replaced for the same reasion as your car had and that was when the car was 2 weeks old and had 68miles on the clock

3. i have hurd of many st's having top mount problems they dry up and can cause a creak noise worse when cold.

If i was you just make sure all the bolts every where are tight then start greasing and lubing things up. dont use wd 40, its better to use a silicone spray as its better working in all temps, you may need to undo a few bolts to make sure the spray gets right into it.

P.s also check the antiroll bar drop links i know the older shape use to suffer from the same problem.
