Problems Fuelling Mk4 With "easy Fuel" Cap

22 February 2015 - 12:32 AM

When filling up my mk4 1.8 TDCI (2010) I invariably have problems at my local shell garage with the thing keep clicking off despite being nowhere near full..This is usually worse after a long journey. No problems at other garages .. Just shell.
Yesterday I tried filling up after a 100 mile journey. Tank nearly empty but nozzle clicking off every few seconds. After 10 mins with an impatient queue behind me (eyes boring into the back of my head) only managed to 3/4 fill the tank.

Battery /alternator Problem? Mk4 Mondeo

24 January 2015 - 12:57 AM

Car is 2010 "60" reg mk4 mondeo 1.8 TDCI.

Noticed that when first started up with lights on they tend to slightly dim and then brighten with the revs when driving. Also if I put the "max" button on for demist (full heat, aircon, blowers and front and rear heated screens) the blower strength fluctuates with the revs (high revs high blower speed low revs lower blower speed).... Never have any starting issues even in this really cold weather... Is my battery/alternator failing or is this a trait of the car???

Can't Adjust Rear Washer Jet On Mk4 Mondeo

05 January 2015 - 08:51 PM

Hi all ... Car is a 2010 "60" reg 1.8 TDCI mondeo hatchback Zetec

I've been trying to adjust the aim of the rear screen jet. Either the nozzle is really stiff or it is fixed and non-adjustable.
If it's non adjustable then Ford have done a crap job as its aim is too high and virtually misses the rear window.

Anyone tried successfully to adjust this??
