#477069 Your Realistic Next Car?

Posted by alexp999 on 16 April 2015 - 09:56 PM

What I don't like about stealth is that it is not metallic.

I love the magnetic "colour" on my car, but that's because it is metallic. If it wasn't for this paint being available on the zetec s, id have gone for deep impact blue.

I would take it back and demand the original factory fit bars be fitted, the proper privacy glass (yes they will have to replace all the glass), and the tow bar should have been fitted by the Ford dealer with official parts as they need to use IDS to tell the car it has a tow bar fitted.

If they won't fix it, I would ask to reject the car, and have a new one built to the correct spec.

I'd love a Mustang V8, that's pretty much my dream car (emphasis on dream).

Even if I could sort out the finances I know I would be scare to take it anywhere.

I am bad enough with my Focus, but I wouldn't ever want to let a Mustang out of my sight, lol.

£25k ? My fully specced 2015 Focus ST3 was £22,150 - less the Fiesta ST 2 as part ex - it may be worth shopping around / haggling.

Shhh, Stoney might just be saying 25k as he has been cleared to spend that amount but will keep the change for mods :D

#475886 Mk 3.5 Toll Tag On Inside Of Windscreen?

You can attach it anywhere on the inside of the screen. (That doesn't obscure your view obviously).

The sensors have a shroud around them on the inside, so you can't block them

It should be fine once repaired.

If you think how many thousand components make up a car, even a 99.9% success/non-failure rate is going to produce some issues.

My car arrived from the factory with a rattly exhaust and missing passenger compartment fuse box cover. Both being sorted under warranty - I imagine most factory faults will present themselves within the first year or so, so it will all be under warranty.

That is the idea of giving you a 3yr warranty, within that time, everything that could go wrong from a fault should have gone wrong, then it is just wear and tear. Obviously the odd thing might slip through, but if it is a safety problem then they are sorted for free with a recall, and there is always the extended warranty for people (like me) who want a no hassle approach to just being able to take the car back for up to 5 yrs :)

That only works if you unlock it then don't open a door. It relocks after about 1min.

I get the feeling they may not get any profit from it though.

They are pulling all TG branding and content.

I imagine it is better to let the show go on without it being official TG and forfeit the profits, than to have to pay millions in fines and refunds.

I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, but I don't seem to be able to see most Audi's number plates when they follow me through town.

There is a reason the GTA V take on an Audi saloon is called the tailgater, lol. :D

I might be wrong but that's what I assume. Maybe someone else can explain it, but once you drive onto private land the rules of the road don't really apply (or maybe they do, I don't know), and there's probably something in the insurance contract that means they don't have to cover you because of that.

As far as I know, the car is still covered on private land.

Otherwise going to a supermarket car park would mean you are uninsured?

I think PLI is only needed if the private land owner is deemed liable for the damage, like something on their property causes it.

So if someone manages to hit your car at FF, surely that is still covered on your own car insurance?
