#448903 Annoyed To Say The Least!

Credit check was done by Ford when you got approval at the point of order.

They won't run another check now, so won't know about the red flag.

My dealer told me it is 3 months or 1500 miles.

In a word, yes.

You get better pulling power as the gears are spaced better. It is also a much slicker box.

After taking off the up-lift from my part-ex and the 2K deposit allowance, mine works out around 18K, including 5yr warranty and 3 years servicing :D

#446908 Mot Failure Kept On Road

Posted by alexp999 on 21 January 2015 - 01:14 PM

The fact it has failed the MOT generally means it is not roadworthy.

If it is not roadworthy it cannot legally be used on the road.

Just because a car has a valid MOT doesn't make it roadworthy either.

I'm sure Clive can elaborate.

Carwow should give you a good idea.

That's the prices I went in to my dealer with.

#446194 Lane Hoggers

Posted by alexp999 on 19 January 2015 - 05:37 PM

I don't get it either, even with the change in legislation making it clearer they shouldn't do this.

I have often found on motorways I have to change from lane 1 to lane 4, just to overtake a lane hogger in lane 3, ridiculous.

I make a point of quickly switching back to lane 1 afterwards where possible.

#446046 Electric Windows

Posted by alexp999 on 19 January 2015 - 11:36 AM

If the window gets stuck then it will lock out the motor to prevent it from getting damaged.

If it was cold enough to be frozen, and works now ok, I wouldn't worry about it.

#444005 Stupid Question Time Part Two

When the wheels are wider than standard, which is typically the case on the largest optional alloys on Fords, they have to fit a steering rack limiter to prevent the wheel hitting the inside of the arches.

#443696 I Am In Love.

Haha, it's really grown on me tbh. At first I wasn't keen, but now I really like it. I'll be more than happy with a MK3 though!

Does anyone know if Sync 2 standard on Titanium?

Yeah it is, no nav though, that is still optional

#442383 Ps4 Vs Xbox One

Posted by alexp999 on 06 January 2015 - 03:48 PM

I always buy my PSN credit and PS Plus subscription through Very when they send me a £25 off £50, or £30 off £60 spend, lol.

I only ever pay around £25 or less for a year of PSN.

Well worth it though, even just for the free games and discounts :)

#442362 Ps4 Vs Xbox One

Posted by alexp999 on 06 January 2015 - 02:38 PM

As long as you are happy with what it is going to give you, that is all that matters.

I go with whatever is best for me each generation.... eventually getting both when enough exclusives are too good to miss.

Haven't seen anything on XBOne that I can't get on PS4 or PC which takes my fancy yet...

#441139 Gearbox Failure At 24K?

Posted by alexp999 on 02 January 2015 - 03:03 PM

It is convincing Evans halshaw, not Ford that will be the problem.

Regardless of warranty the gearbox has not lasted a reasonable time so was either not of satisfactory quality or was faulty at the point of sale.

You have 6 years protection under SOGA. Enforce your rights againt the garage as that is who you purchased it from.

I will say now however going on comments of past experiences with Evans Halshaw it will not be easy as they don't understand the meaning of customer service.
