* Fiesta Ford Options Query?

18 December 2014 - 07:42 AM

I'm hoping to place an order for a new Fiesta over the next couple of days and, to take advantage of the £750 deposit contribution, I'm going to use the Ford Finance Options Cash Plan.

I plan to pay the car off within a couple of months or so but, how soon can I do this without losing the deposit contribution?

Fiesta "service Indicator"

04 December 2014 - 11:59 PM

My November 2013 Fiesta is going in for it's first service next Monday and it's just occurred to me that, on most cars we have owned, a 'service indicator' shows up on the display to notify the owner that the car is due for a service but I've not seen the 'service indicator' appear.

The same thing happened with my 2010 Fiesta, is this normal on the Fiesta or, have other owners seen the service indicator pop up and, if so, why am I not seeing the indicator?

* Ford Sync Txt Msg Problem

01 December 2014 - 02:34 PM

I've got a problem with SYNC reading my txt messages when they arrive and I've searched the for similar posts and so far, I've not found the answer.

My iPhone 5S was able to announce and read txt messages when they arrived but I've just connected and paired my iPhone 6 plus and when I go into settings/SYNC, I get a message saying something similar to, "the selected phone is not compatible to read txt msg via bluetooth".

From my iPhone/Bluetooth/My Devices/SYNC, I've selected 'show notifications' and on the car in SYNC MEDIA (or similar), also selected similar but I get the message as shown in the first paragraph.

I think that I have enabled the options necessary on both the car and my iPhone 6+ but no luck so, I'm not really sure what's going on but SYNC txt reading on my iPhone 5S (with iOS7) worked fine so why does it not work with my 6+ with iOS8?

Can any members run through the exact steps/settings, both on the iPhone 6 and my Fiesta, that I need to enable to get txt reading working.

Any help appreciated.

*** Fiesta Titanium 63 Plate "!st Service"

30 October 2014 - 06:00 PM

I've just had a reminder from my local dealer that my 1st Service is due soon (1 Year old on 26th November), and I would like to know what price I should expect to pay?

Also, due to a back injury just before I picked my car last November, I've not really driven the car and, consequently it has only 450 miles on the clock - now I know they should change the oil and filter on the service but, given the extremely low mileage, does anyone actually think they will change these service items?

I'm also thinking that over the last year, there may have been software updates available (especially for 'Ford Sync' and Apple IOS 8.1) and I would like to know if I should mention this and if they will apply them FOC?  I think that they should apply any available updates FOC; especially during the first year.
