Fiesta Titanium X "keyless Door Opening"

18 April 2015 - 09:14 PM

On the 'keyless' Fiesta Mk7.5 models, is it possible to configure the car to unlock ALL of the doors with ONE press of the drivers button, just as you could do with the 'keyed' Fiesta's?

My reason for asking is because when we go out in my 'keyless' Fiesta, only the drivers door is unlocked with one press of the button and, when I press it again to open the other doors and the boot, for some reason, they don't always unlock and my wife and family get a bit annoyed when they can't get in.  :(

This happened today and even pressing the button twice did not even open ANY doors so I don't know what's going on here - maybe I pressed the button too quick or, maybe it wasn't quick enough?  It's a great system but it's peeing me off a bit.

* Fiesta Mk7.5 Engine Cover

15 April 2015 - 12:00 PM

Hi to all

I know that this topic has been covered over the last few weeks but I searched for it but that particular topic never came up so I popped in quickly to ask for some info.

Ok, I already have the part numbers/prices thanks to Willy and I'm aware that I need to ask for an engine cover for the Focus Mk3 1.0 Ecoboost but I've just been onto my local Ford Parts department and, they are a 'special order', and was quoted the parts price + VAT?

I was under the impression that the prices given in the forum were what members paid inclusive of VAT so, just to confirm, were prices shown in the topic inclusive of VAT or + VAT?

Engine cover (1806222) @ £28.88 = £34.66 inclusive

1st stud (1683973) @ £2.57 = £3.08 inclusive

2nd stud (1780192) @ £2.18 = £2.62 inclusive

Are these prices the cheapest available including delivery and, did members who bought the engine cover and studs, have them delivered or, collected from their local dealership?

*my New Fiesta Titanium X - Bumper Damage!

08 April 2015 - 08:11 PM

Hi, went out to my car at lunchtime today and found that some inconsiderate driver had damaged the corner of my rear offside Candy Blue bumper + minior scrape on the out edge of the mud flap.

Needless to say I'm well p****d off!

I'll post a pic shortly and would like to know how best to treat it.

* Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost - Turbo?

19 March 2015 - 10:15 AM

I've been driving for around 40 years and have owned many new cars in that time and I'm really enjoying my newest car; a Fiesta 1.0, 100PS EcoBoost Titanium X but, I've never owned a car with a turbo so, while this might be looked upon as newbie question, I need to ask it because I really don't know the answer for sure - do these EcoBoost Fiesta's have a "Turbo"?

I've looked through the user handbook and there are parts of it which seem to suggest that it does and, if it does, what type of 'turbo' is it,

Apart from wanting to know if my car actually does have a 'turbo', I also need to know if there is anything in particular that I should be aware of when driving a car with a turbo? I.e. I've heard that, before you turn off the engine, you should allow a period of time for the turbo to wind down before stopping the engine?

I would appreciate any input from members who can help with answering my question.

* Fiesta "tyre Pressure Monitoring System"

18 March 2015 - 12:22 PM

I've searched the forums and found some info on the old DDS system which have 'rubber valves' and the newer TPMS which have 'tyre pressure sensors' working at 433 Mhz on each wheel and have 'metal valves.

Do the vehicles with the newer TPMS system always have 'metal valves'?

The reason I'm asking is because my car is a 2015 Titanium X with 17" alloys and I've just checked the valves and they appear to be 'rubber'.  I've attached a couple of pics of the valves on my wheels.

I would appreciate members input on this thread please.
