#289136 Focus 1.8 Tdci Fuel Problem - Keeps Breaking Down!

ensure the air bleed nipple is tight on the top of the filter. Ensure all the pipes seals are not nicked and in situ, also ensure the pipes are clicked fully home.

Also ensure the fuel filter lid is tight, very tight...if it still fails I would bet the rubber seal for the fuel filter is not on correctly or a pipe has split.

#285454 Handbrake Issue?

As I always say in regards to anything with brakes, steering or suspension parts...if your not sure take it to a garage and get it checked by someone who knows.

Nothing worse than saying yeah do that, it works for a little then fails causing unknown damage etc.

#282417 Limp Mode, Ok To Drive In?

I wouldnt say so. Could cause further damage.

Saying that anyone who comments or the forum cannot responsibility for any damage caused if you do (just a little disclaimer) lol

Not being funny but did you press the "on" button followed by "+"?

I have seen in a few places that the elm method does not allow pcm mod...but not sure on truth of that

you have to purchase a harness called SOT-092 but its only £12 from halfords - it turns the main harness into a number of jump in iso connectors etc. very simple and easy to use.

nice, was it hard to do?

The hardest bit was finding where all the cables should go and placement of the screen etc. but other than that its a straight forward clip and connect. no splicing of wires needed.

Excellent choice john,
The MKi9200 is a high quality piece of kit, aux port, USB,
Even playback music through a USB dongle.
Great sound on phone calls both ways too.

I dont have one fitted personally, but I bought my mother one last Christmas

I was originally debating on the 9100 and 9200 but i wasnt too keen on the oled screen on the 9100 and for an extra £20 i couldnt complain about getting high range equipment. ive only used it for bluetooth music streaming and phone features...but so far im very happy with the results

i have a lower model to this, but i may be upgrading and that does look good.

i like the features on this version. mine is just a basic, talking one with a screen and you can schrol through your phone back but thats it.

let us know what you think to the quality of it.

Yeah i will do when i get a chance to have a proper go at it...so far so good. the mic is dual so it reduces the road noise and interferance you get with general kits and it sounds like the other person is in the car. the music is also pretty good and turning up to 15 bounces the car and doesnt distort the sound.

#278295 Steering Creak (Now A Squeal)

Posted by johnH on 29 July 2013 - 06:25 AM

Could be a number of things like new track rods. Suspension needs tightening. Bearing needs replacing etc you list parts all day but in the end i always say for brakes and steering parts "get it checked by a pro". Will be nothing worse then saying "yeah its that x and y" you go away spend the money and it turns out its not and if it fails and causes you to crash.

Well just to let yous all know ive managed to get this activated on a 2010 1.6 focus. Turns out, according to the sneaky russians ;) ford decided to lock the software down to stop this but using older versions of the software sorts it out. So i downloaded a 2011 version and viola he now has cruise in his car

Try your local dealers, iirc they are about £20 for a new one.

#270510 How Nifty Is This?

Posted by johnH on 25 June 2013 - 09:32 PM

Hey guys I was just cruising ebay for some sill plates for my car and I come across this:

Silver button: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4ac5677718

black button: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4ac567794c

Would be really good for those with USB sockets on rear of aftermarket radios and for having aux in same place...maybe good to also wire in to use as a USB charger!

#260587 Night Shifts Suck..

Posted by johnH on 16 May 2013 - 04:38 PM

I used to work shifts in the RAF, 2 days of 8am till 8pm then 2 nights of 8pm till 8am...Never did actually do a full night...i got the office chairs out and slept... TV gets boring after 2am...when family guy and american dad finish. lol

Even when i left the bus company put me on lates, mind you its alot more fun at nights...drunks sleeping on the bus and you get back to the depot with a bus load lol

but now i either work 7am till 3pm or 11pm till 7pm....

Still i prefer the lates, not a morning person at all...
