Hi, just picked up a a fiesta flame today, had a few of these already and no issues before with aircon.
went to turn aircon on and heard the usual click from under the bonnet but no cold air coming through. Tried it a bit later and dont even hear the click from under the bonnet now and certainly no cold air.
Now, the lady I bought this off hardly used this car only done 3500 miles in last 18 months, so I think this is why I have a problem.
already had to disconnect the plug from washer jet tank and clean it out a load of crap, as no water getting through to jets. All working fine now.
could this be a case of just needing re-gas or is it more likely to be an issue with compressor? Dont know too much about this kinda thing, never had to take any car for a regas.
where is the aircon unit? Is it under the driver headlamp?
any help appreciated
cheers

New Head Unit - Whats This Cable For?
12 February 2013 - 10:05 AM
Hi All,
Bought a new head unit for my focus titanium to replace the Ford Sony MP3 disc player with Aux in.
There are lots of cables in box, obvious what most of them are for but not this one? Anyone hazard a guess what the cable is for please?
This unit is a GPS, DVD, IPOD, Bluetooth and has a TV on it as well - it has the canbus decoder on it as well so is just plug & Play and steering controls all work with it.
I had it all plugged into the car to check it all worked last night and it looks a good bit of kit, just need daylight now to be able to install it all properly, (feed cables behind unit, fit GPS antenna, cables into glovebox etc). Will post some pics up when its all done.
btw If anyone knows or wants the sony head unit off me - let me know
Cheers

Noisier Engine Since Service And Air Filter Change
16 October 2012 - 08:30 AM
Had focus serviced yesterday, mileage is 41k but engine has only actually done 20k as was replaced under warranty in 2010.
Had it serviced yesterday by my usual guy (not fords) and have noticed that engine sounds a lot louder during accelarating and at higher revs. cudnt get much above 50-60 today during busy traffic but have noticed it has a dull throaty sound when accelerating in 3rd gear between 2500-3000rpm.
Going to take it back today so he can check but my first thought was air filter?
