Excellent, I can stop worrying about that now then. Thank you. Oh, don't worry, I had the "bong" a few times last week as a couple of days times we were down at 2 degrees up here. Luckily it's warmer (and windier) again now tho.
I've been sat in traffic before tho and never really noticed the gauge going up, I just wondered what was so special about this morning !!!

This happened to me this morning .... temp gauge was sitting at 10 and then after sitting in traffic for 5 minutes it was up to 23 degrees. When I got driving again it went back down quickly. Did we ever decide if this was normal or not ?? Was quite worried so came on here and did a search. Glad it's happened to other people as well, but still worried that there is something wrong. Thanks.

all good, but i re-iterate that it is a good idea to work out the true MPG using my formula above, rather than rely on the trip computer which can be inaccurate
I never fill it to the brim tho, so how would I know for sure ?
I also use Tesco fuel and put in Shell a couple of times and didn't notice any difference. I live just up the road from Tesco and I like getting my Clubcard points to spend (usually a free couple of bottles of wine!!!).

Hi, I also have the 1.25 Fiesta Zetec and I reset the computer each time I fill up and I always get around 44/45mpg. I live in Aberdeen and work in Inverurie so a fair bit of it is dual carriageway driving and some is sitting in traffic ! The highest I have had is 47.6 but that didn't last long (must have been a fluke !!)
I changed from a Zetec S when my work moved out here thinking I would save money on fuel, but I think I could have been wrong !!!!

Thanks for the advice. I'll get him to try them again. It was more the window motor struggling that I was worried about. I'm assuming that that gets better as well does it ??? I know you guys all love your cars so I know that if you thought something was amiss you wouldn't do it.
Cheers guys.
Cheers guys.
