Radio Related Problem? Don't Really Think So...

18 September 2012 - 11:51 AM

Yesterday it happened the second time since I have the car. The problem is the following: when I switch the ignition off, not fully, leaving the radio on, then suddenly the radio turns OFF and the light from the radio enters the automatic dimming system, not the daylight that I have set. Moreover, when I switch the ignition ON then I get more km to drive the fuel that I have left in the tank, at least in the computer's perception :) When this thing happened last night I had 420 km left to drive with the fuel, but after the so called "radio related problem" I've realized that I have 620 km left, so this error added 200 km.

Now I don't know if this has anything to do with the radio, but at least these are the 2 elements that I can connect.

Did anybody experience something funny like this? Any idea what might be wrong?

Having Problems With The Wind Deflectors

09 September 2012 - 08:39 AM

Hello everybody!

I am having problems with the Climair wind deflectors that I've bought a few months ago. The right one does make a horrible sound when I open and close the window plus because of the fact that it does not mould perfectly my window got scratched.

Now I am starting to get !Removed! with the wind deflectors especially coming from Climair which states that they are the best in what they are doing. Honestly they did not prove it in my case at least. They don't fit that perfectly and the make a very strange sound when opening and closing the window. Moreover, the left window does not even close that well.

Anybody having similar issues with the Climair wind deflectors?

Does Everything Rattle?

07 July 2012 - 10:17 AM

Don't know if it's only me but I've started to have problems that really annoy me with the Mk7 Fiesta. Honestly this is one of my nightmares in a car. I would rather prefer to change a part and not struggle to find a rattle somewhere in the car. Plus, how can a car which was used for less then 1 year rattle so much?

But what does rattle?

1. The left plastic cover of the tachometer.
2. Something in the back of the car, probably coming either from the rear window of the car or from the plastic underneath it.
3. I think that even the speakers might rattle

The question is easy, how do I fix all these problems without selling the car? :D

I still have many plans for my Fiesta but somehow I am always turned down by these rattle issue. This is one of the things that I don't want in my car. When I get mad and hear all those noises and think about the E46 (year 2000) that I had and realize how much gap there is between different car manufacturers. Honestly I would have expected this but only after using it for 2-3 years.

I have to remind everybody that I've first drove the car on the 2nd of August 2011.

Have a great weekend!

Reversing Camera

27 May 2012 - 09:23 AM

I was thinking to buy one reversing camera, preferably the ones that also have a mirror. Do you guys have any recommendations?
I wouldn't like to buy the cheapest out there, therefore I would like to know what are my options.
