I fed the wire from the radio area behind the instrument cluster and out to the side by the drivers door seal. Then I ran it up and mounted the antenna atop of the dashboard.

So no, in my car the cable isnt visible (except for the last centimetre where it goes into the the antenna unit)

Thanks a lot!
When my antenna arrives, I will give it a try. :)

YEs it came with the radio.

I see...I have to get one of those still! :(
Was it easy to mount it on the dashboard? The wire is not visible, right? A noob like me would be able to do it?
Thanks again and sorry for bothering you with all these questions!

The antenna comes with the radio.

Hi again.
When you bought the radio it also came with the GPS antenna?
Care to tell me where you bought it? Was it from a Ford dealer? I'm asking this since you have installed an interior gps antenna...
Thanks a lot! :)

The only thing you need is the newer fascia trim panel which has the oval radio aperture. The radio itself has the same connections on the back.
I mounted the GPS receiver on the top of the dashboard by the driver's side front quarter-light window.

Hello.
Could you tell me where you bought the antenna from? Or atleast what is the connector type needed for it?
Thanks! :)

Very easy - lever down the lower plastic fasica panel above the steering column and you will expose two torx screws. Undo these, then use a knife or thin flatblade screwdriver and lever out the cluster from the top (behind there is a clip which you need to lever down - then the cluster will slide out).
Unplug the wiring loom (1 plug) - push into new cluster then slide that back in - pop the screws back and you're done. 5 min job.

Just tried to lever down the lower fascia but it didn't move... :(
Is there any special trick? You just push it down or you push it towards you?
Thanks again!
