In Topic: Warranty On A Ford Focus?

Hi, i recently bought a 10 plate focus from a dealer and yes the 3 years warranty is still effective as long as the car has the correct service intervals i believe! i'm sure there is someone on here who can explain better than me though

i've recently bought a 10 plate 1.6 tdci and gotta say i love it! i only do short journeys through the week just to work and a total of 15 miles a day but at the weekends i have a nice drive upto newcastle from sheffield or an alternative 45 min drive if i go fishing instead so hoping i wont have any DPF issues which have been mentioned!
i've read some of the figures of the mpg for the 1.6 tdci above and i'm getting quite abit more, i'm currently averaging 61 mpg just driving to work and back, this is not based on my long journeys at the weekend as i regularly reset the average mpg counter just to see how i'm driving, then when i reset it for the journey up north near enough every time i get 70+
overall i love the car, its not as sluggish as what i thought it would be, having previously owned a Focus ST i was quite worried about the difference but i was pleasently surprised! i'm not saying the 1.6 tdci is any where near the performance of the ST but was happy with the tdci's performance!

thanks jeebo! that was basically the same thought i had! i've seen a few with 'focus' which i thought looked rather good but tempted by having my initials 'SMG' so it a little different!

i believe that there will defo be a mk3 focus st but unfortunately the 2.5L Volve engine will be replaced with a 2.0L eco boost offering around 250bhp! the sound the 2.5 Volve lump produces is just awesome and tbh without this the ST will loose some of its character!

only one car for me on that list and thats the RS! having previously owned an ST it was a fantastic car and the RS is even better, keep my fingers crossed for a lottery win haha
