Drl Project !!!

22 March 2014 - 09:58 PM

Ok, so I've been pondering the idea for a while now, and had decided I would try them in the lower grille, but upon trying them, I didn't think they looked right, too close together, and to low.

So I took a bit of a drastic approach and decided ''no guts, no glory'' got the masking tape out, made a template of the lights profile, then got the trusty old dremel out, and set to work butchering my bumper haha . After a while, the holes were cut, and ready to take the lights, test fit was a success first time.

So I then set about fitting the DRL relay, wanted this done right. So opted for one that put the lights on when engine is started, and dimmed to 30% brightness when the main lights come on. They even stay on for around 20 seconds when I get out of the car, Nice little touch I thought. Anyway, thats enough going on, what do you guys think ??? I'm pleased with the results.......

Bluetooth Phone Problem

13 March 2014 - 04:12 PM

Ok guys, bit of a weird one for ya. Phone has been working fine with the cars Bluetooth, it's paired to ford audio, symbol is lit on the car radio. Made a call today, the music went off as it should, switched to the phone screen, showing the number it was calling, but I'm getting no sound through ? If I switchthe phone to it's internal speaker, all is good, but can't hear anything through hands free, it's baffling my head now,,,, it's dialing, it's connecting the call, but just not letting me hear through the speakers,,,,, anyone have any ideas, cheers, Mike.

Fiesta Mk7 Rear Camber ?

03 February 2014 - 04:46 PM

Ok guys,,, took my baby for her MOT on Saturday, and she passed  :D  :D  :D , but was given 2 advisory's

1, Back box corroding (original middle & back fitted)

2, Rear nearside & offside tyres 'Castlating' on inner edges.

My question being, are the rears able to be adjusted on the mk7 fiesta ? As in tracking, or more common now a, 4 wheel allignment ?

Hope they are, or I don't know what would be causing the effect on the tyres, bit gutted really as its got 4 good matching tyres on, now this wearing is busting my OCD wide open haha. Anyone in the know ? Cheers.

Swimming Pool In Boot

31 January 2014 - 02:28 PM

Ok so i've searched high and low but can't seem to find a positive answer to my dilemma. Last week I opened the boot to check the spare wheel, and was greeted by around 2 inches of water in the spare wheel well. I had to drill small holes in the rubber grommets to drain it. I've heard the hinges holding the tailgate on can be a problem, but I assume if this was the case the roof lining would also be wet, but this isn't the case, its dry as a bone. The carpets either side in the boot are wet (ish) at the bottom. And the carpet that covers the spare wheel was wet, the insulation under it was quite soaked in places. Anyone have any ideas of were this may be coming from ??? Can't be doing the metal work any good. Cheers, Mike.

Usb Capacity !!!

02 December 2013 - 05:53 PM

Hi Guys & Gals, just a quick question, I use a USB stick for all my music needs in my car, currently running a 4gb one, but thinking about buying (or asking for one as a Christmas present) a bigger memory one, something like 16 or 32gb. I seem to remember reading something about this a while back regarding possibly not being able to use bigger capacity ones, but cant remember what was said. Is this size of memory stick ok to use, meaning, it wont confuse the cars brain in anyway will it. Just want to check before buying, thanks, Mike.
