So the garage havr had the car back up on the ramp and have said they goy the wrong part. The part or bush on the main suspension arm is shot not the banana one or dog bone shaped one .. he said gord do the bush which will need the rear subframe to drop ans they can press it in situ hopefully. So all tyres have been changed I supplied 3 they supplied ome part woen one, tracking not done they supplied one tyre and a oil and filter change and charged £100 inclidong cost of chamhing other tyres.

Booked in for a few weeks for them to do it.

Ashame they misdiagnosed it they could have done it today.

Hey ho .. hope my tyres dont get chewed up in 2 weeks .. minimum driving I guess.

So the rear trailing arms had slight play on the bush, but not excessive and he said the rear springs are very rusted so doing that too. He could find nothing wrong with the front and could not figure out why the inside edges are worn. He did say don't bother changing them unless they fail but they are wrecking all my tyres.

He did say maybe the rear bushes have affected it somehow?

But said they will do the arms, springs and tracking and I should keep an eye on wear.

Also bad news the clutch is slipping in 5th .. 4 hours labour plus parts

So 2 arms 2 springs 1 tyre as I have 3, tracking oil change/filter £360 does that sou d reasonable for a ford specialist ?

He didn't seem happy to do the rear arms as it's a hard job, they did one not long ago and the bolt snapped.

Still have this nagging feeling something on the front it's wrong.
