when selling yourself,
Link potential buyers to your build thread showing the work that has gone in to it, thats how i sold my levin an enthusiast will appreciate all that info because it shows there's no hidden problems with the car because you have been posting long before you ever thought of selling it, so had you a problem with the car then you would have voicedit on the forum,

Id be in the same position if selling mine to a garage mate,
Its a style spec on the logbook so that's all the value they will give me,
Even though its a self built replica ZetecS with additional modifications.
Garage wouldn't recognise that when buying from me, but they would flaunt it all to buyers and cash in big on the build,

Just put it up on here for sale hope I'm not asking to much as I had a valued online which came more then I'm asking due to engine change and low.miles.

Id say put it back to standard if trading it in mate,
Otherwise they could assume it was involved in a mid traffic collision,

You will get alot for the st replica kit selling as a whole,

Or try and sell the car yourself as it is,

However its easier to sell st replica parts than it is the standard stuff.

Thanks Kenny for the reply I will have a look around and see if I can sell it myself first

If I could have one of them for £14k...yes please! Absolutely stunning! What sort of spec are the ones you'd be lookin around that price? I'm sure 'base spec' is still pretty high, but I'd worry that they could be a lot more expensive to mod, so I'm sure you'll do your research anyway beforehand if you do decide to buy.

I have seen 2 models luxury and premium luxury i have seen luxury model for about 14k. Its hard to see the difference between the both models but the premium model has beata seat heated wing mirror and dimming rear view mirror but what i have read on xf forum there aint alot difference. Im going to think very hard about it as all i see is old guy driving XF and also as you said it be expensive to modify and maintain i think. I did have a 2009 mercedes c220 saloon but sold it as got bored off it so i have time to think what i want. Let me clear something up first im not rich so it wont be payed in cash il put some cash down as deposit and the rest in finance.

lol i know mate yours does look really good and like you said you do have both st front n rear ends, just the mks are different

mines a lot worse cause the front ends standard n the rear is st n i aint got an exhaust yet

its a shame you couldnt sell on your mk2 st front end cause i'd of had it off you

i swaped my front prefaclift st bumper with the faclift one or i would have sold it.

Looks even better in the day light mate,
Well done,
If it was mine id purchase a set of these stick on light brows in black from DMB
Will give the face of the car a more agressive appearance, a must in my opinion.

Will look even better when lowerd and side skirts fitted,
Just don't forget your adjustable rear camber bolts when lowering to save the rear tyres from excessive wear.

Thanks mate the brows do look good i have built in drl on my headlights so it look good on it i made some custom brows on my prefaclift st.when i get the car lowered il get my mate to do it as he knows whats he is doing.

Looks superb mate, worth the wait and effort for defs! And as everyone says, will only get better with the skirts and lowering.

Well done!

Thanks mate it was deffinatly worth the wait cant wait for the weather to warm up and snow to stop il get the whole car polished waxed etc and it look good as it be lowered and droped to da floor by the time weather warms up lol.
