Pipe Help Asap!

10 October 2015 - 05:42 PM

Hello there this is my run around car and yesterday it started smoking in the way home. So I nursed it home and waited for engine to cool down so could see what was going on. The item in question has fallen from wherever and touched the lambda sensor causing it to melt and now the car is no longer drivable.

From what I can see is a pipe from the brake reservoir? And it runs across the engine bay and then runs down the left side of the engine bay to what I can only assume is the brake servo which is under the ecu.

I cannot for the life of me find the pipe I need. I went to Ford with pictures and they couldn't help me.

Can someone please tell me what the pipe is called, what it does and where can I get a replacement.

Car is due mot very soon which it won't make so this needs doing.

Also a part number would be amazing.

Here are the pictures for the pipework and where it runs.

The car is a 2003 Ford fiesta mk6 1.4 automatic.

Battery Removal And Install On Mk6 1.4

11 July 2015 - 03:35 PM

Afternoon all,

I have a new sealed battery to replace the water type battery after it going flat on me (original motocraft). It needs doing in the next couple of days.

I have never changed a battery as I never needed to. So what precautions do I need to take on this type car apart from the obvious. Has central locking.

So having the doors open so car doesn't lock itself or anything like that. It's a Finesse so got hardly any toys.

Mk6 1.4 Judders When Pull Away (semi Auto Box) In Auto Mode.

07 July 2015 - 03:48 PM

As title suggests. I have a 2003 semi auto fiesta with 72600. I have noticed when pulling away in auto mode the car judders four or five times when pulling away under a moderate throttle level. On a light throttle pull away wi don't get anything and also if I'm in manual mode I don't get hardly any knocking/juddering.

Any ideas and thoughts. I have heard that these gearboxes can be harsh on clutches and they don't last as long as a clutch used in a manual version. I think maybe the clutch has maybe worn out unevenly perhaps.

Other driving it works great through all five gears up and down and in kick down plus in manual mode.

Could it be possibly be bushing?

I can't find much information but all I know is not many people want to touch the boxes because of the problems but if its a clutch then it can't be that bad?

Mk6.5 Tail Lights To Mk6 Questions

26 June 2015 - 10:26 AM

I have a new set if tail lights to install to my mk6 but have a couple of questions.

Been looking at the guide and doesn't make a lot of sence. Looks a bit of a mess and I hate mess like that. So there must be an easier way ie depin and solder new wire to existing one. I'm not one for cutting wire ect as my electric skills are crap which is why a mate of mine is doing it.

So all I need to do is run two more wires from either side (left to right or right to left) from fog to fog nd reverse to reverse. Cant be much else to that right?

I'll be running cables with the existing loom so I don't run risk of chaffing wires and causing problems.

Many thanks

Non Remote Car Key Cutting And Remote Locking Retro Fit

07 June 2015 - 01:02 PM

How easy is it to get a new key? What's the process?

I have only had fobs and never had to have a new key. The key has a chip in it so do I need to get it programmed or what?

I would go to ebay but not too sure about doing that unless someone knows a reliable source that would be great.

Also a quick question is whether you can retro fit central locking? The car has central locking but through the key only?

Many Thanks
