Posted by pragmatix on 23 June 2015 - 10:43 AM

Superchips are the best there Bluefin is a DIY remap much better than the plug in ones does a proper remap and saves your standard ecu settings so you can reset any time you want http://www.superchips.co.uk

#496360 Matrix Turn Signals For Mk4fl - What Do You Think?

Posted by pragmatix on 18 June 2015 - 08:13 AM

I don't like it, flashing out of sync with the indicators, one or the other but not both, oh and I hate DRLs too, marks judging distance and speed harder IMHO

Sparky, they are very helpful the job takes about an hour, they download your existing ecu settings and your remap is based on those. No rolling road, but you will feel the difference. Only need a days notice so easy to book in

#477971 Things I Don't Like

Posted by pragmatix on 19 April 2015 - 09:32 PM

My pet hate in no particular order.
Car drivers that do 30 in a national speed .imit then speed up in the 30 happens so often in my village.
Car drivers that think cyclist have no right on the road, yes they can cycle two a breast, read your Highway Code.
Any one who thinks the can sneak up my inside when I'm turning left in my HGV, especially the Merc Black ImG thing that got written off.
Pedestrians that cross the road without looking at you, chancers.
Folk who moan about parking tickets/ wardens you know the rules obey them, easy no tickets.
Lane hogging outside or middle get back to the inside when you have done your overtake.

On the motorway the driver that hogs your blind spot and doesn't overtake forcing you to stop your overtaking move.
Selfish driving .
Remember driving can still be fun but you are in control of a killing machine.
Rant may be over, drive thoughtfully and you will be safe

#472227 Abs And Traction Light On

Posted by pragmatix on 01 April 2015 - 09:23 PM

If the ABS and traction control lights are in will be either a duff speed sensor or as was my case a broken wire to the sensor a good code reader will tell you which wheel has the fault, the good news is a sensor is about £25 from eurocar parts, the bad news is ifits the wiring it can be time consuming

#470281 Tyre Pressure

The 15" is a typo the op has allready stated the wheels are 17"

#470033 Tyre Pressure

Posted by pragmatix on 26 March 2015 - 02:58 PM

It's not a recommended fitmemt that's for sure are you on ford wheels or some aftermarket ones here is a comparison chart to check the rolling circumference it about the same as the standard fitment 235/45/17 but should be on a narrower rim if I've read things right hence asking if they are standard wheels or not as to pressure I would run at 36psi

My powerfold drivers side mirror does not fold anymore just get a clicking sound of gears trying to engage, is this fixable or is it a complete new mirror?
