and when the 3 guys do leave,do you really think top gear will be as popular as it is now..........er no dont think so.
clarkson got sacked from the show yonks ago when it had tiff needel and quentin wilson on it,and look what happened to it,it died a death,
few years later it came back with jesser at the helm and it sky rocketed,and started to earn the good ole bbc shed loads of wonga.
iirc they replaced jesser with the girl who went on to front 5 th gear with tiff,never really took off.thus in itself proves that no matter what they were trying to achieve its the characters themselves that make the show popular.
bet he is really kicking himself for selling his stake in it off.apparently the other 2 were miffed that he was earning far more then they were,
the 3 of them make top gear imo.its gone past being a total car show,coz lets face it they rarely do indepth reviews on everyday cars,its just 3 guys doing what the do best,HAVING A BLODDY GOOD LAFF.
my mum in her w reg puma 1.7,year before last i took it for the mot and looked at the mileage and she had done under 1k for the year
last year it need a new cam belt and major service,and 2 weeks ago needed a new clutch.iirc its got 90k? on the clock and she bought it 2nd hand about 10 years ago.working it out it costs her a fortune to keep it on the road.
but at 82 years young anyone WANT to tell her to hang up her keys,COZ i aint !Removed! brave enough.
i would think it might be worth having a look at the alarm module,iirc its under the passenger front wheel arch,
the mk1 problem steff is on about wouldve been the rear washer pipe that runs under the front passenger carpet which just happens to have a join in it directly above the ecu/alarm/central locking module which is under the passenger front seat.the mk2 galaxy it was moved up under the dash board.
