Hi Dan

Thanks for your comments but you have contradicted yourself on the BHP increase:

"Whilst the online question set does ask almost all questions, things such as the original and new BHP cannot be entered online and the rate needs to be manually calculated in circumstances where BHP is increased, hence asking you to call in."

"Regarding the BHP increase, as we are a modified car specialist, our schemes are very flexible with modifications so the difference in BHP from 120 to 135BHP may still be in the same pricing bracket."

A few things to note:

a) my mileage went down from 8500 to 6000 - not up and i didnt get a quote for higher miles

B) if i took out the policy online and paid for it then i would have paid a lower premium - i do not remember any questions that had been left out online. If your online prices are a guide then why do you have the option to buy online? Would the policy then be void because a question had not been presented online for the customer to answer?

c) bhp increase - i had options from upto 10%, 25% and above 35% - as the bhp would only go up by 5 bhp i chose the lower amount but Toby insisted i go use the 25% option

d) i took of business mileage option off as i only drive to one place and not multiple but Toby advised that its only a few quid to have it on - really?

so judging by the above, i think i have been honest with my details and expected a lower quote.

All I will say is, thank goodness it was a freephone number that i rang as i would not have been happy if i had to pay for a call that lasted well over an hour.
