a facelift bumper would be too much work but a pre facelift ST bumper would be a straight fit.

i'd stick to what you have personally. there is nothing wrong with it and it will do the job perfectly fine. like the rest of us you have seen a better product and felt the urge to improve what you have!

#486015 Focus Mk2 Custom Sub Enclosure

Posted by salsheikh on 14 May 2015 - 10:15 AM

i have a similar set up to Hassen - i used a 10" amplified kit and mounted the amp inside the box

my sub sticks out a bit as its deep and i used mdf rings (ebay) to overcome this issue.

#482770 Split Pipes

washing up liquid on any rubber pipes and then get a mate to rev the car - look out for any bubbles that appear an this will tell you where the leak is.

also check all jubilee clips to ensure they are nice and tight, if you see any oilish residues then change the clips for newer and better ones.

3" will be too much (i think subaru's have that size), stick to 2.5"

straight through pipe will do the job but you may have an issue come MOT time if there is no 'visible' cat!

oh and enjoy the whistling sound it will create - i hope you have deleted the EGR too.

Nah i am ok doing it myself.....i just cant find an access point to pop off the pod that holds the guages....thought there might be a knack to getting it off.........methinks taking out the radio etc and unclipping from underneath might be a bit of a job?

Im in Newcastle btw. : )

it is easier to remove with the radio out the way. the pod is held in by tabs that you need to unclip - i used a flat screwdriver from the top in one edge and prised it out slowly but safest way is by removing the radio.

#472406 A Flat Battery Can Strand You..... What Would You Do ?

Posted by salsheikh on 02 April 2015 - 02:55 PM

get into the boot by dropping the back seats? lower the drivers/passenger seat low enough to get into the back or squeeze through if you aint a big fella.

get your battery checked out just in case it is faulty.

come to think of it, last time i looked i couldnt access the earth cable due to how the battery is situated so jump starting could have been a big no no. looks like keeping a spare battery is the only way to go!
