#542858 Focus Zetec S Body Kit - How

Posted by salsheikh on 23 November 2015 - 10:21 AM

Hi Stano

welcome to the forum!

yes, your car is the mk3 and 2011 onwards parts will fit your car.

getting new parts will be very expensive. any decent bodyshop will be able to fit the parts without issues.

if you are going the 2nd hand parts route you might even find them in the same colour as your car so will save money in painting costs.
the ebay item has been removed so cant comment on that. you can get all the parts cheap off ebay if you are patient.
most of the stuff is easy enough to fit yourself to be honest. all you need is a few diy skills.

if you get stuck then there are plenty of people on here who will help and advise you.

good luck

Posted by salsheikh on 03 November 2015 - 10:17 AM

if you are after some deep bass then you need a 12 or 15" sub.

Vibe are good, i have one in my car. as space isnt an issue then this is good news.

something like these will do the job but get a decent amp cable kit to provide the juice to keep it powered up

Fli (part of vibe audio i thinks but still good)

Vibe 1200W (400w RMS - the figure you need to look at)

Vibe 1600W (550w RMS)

decent 4AWG wiring kit (the lower the number the thicker and better the cable)

#531871 Engine Cuts Out

Posted by salsheikh on 15 October 2015 - 08:47 AM

Hi Dan

does it happen regularly? If its a one off then i wouldnt worry about it but if its regular then check the fault codes checked to see if anything is coming up.

No need to go to a garage and be ripped off to have the fault codes read, buy a bluetooth odbII adapter off ebay and download an app called torque and use this. then check the codes (if any) online to see what it shows/solutions.

#529353 Car Care - Products & Advice

Posted by salsheikh on 06 October 2015 - 08:23 AM

Hi Jon

now Im not a connosisseur when it comes to keeping the car clean etc but these are my tips:

Use a ceramic coating product like G Technic C5 to give your alloys the best chance of keeping clean or a good wax like Finish Kare FK1000p

Rain Repellent

I have used Armor All Glass and i find it lasts longer than Rain X plus its easier to apply, even Armor All Sheild Wax works fine on windows even though its not made for that but this leaves your paint grabby.

Anti fog never seems to work for me, well the rain x one anyway but have a look on Detailing world forum to see if anyone can recommend a good product?

Winter Tyres

As the car doesnt have winter tyres i recommend getting a second set off ebay that have winter tyres already fitted! You can pick up a bargain! I managed to get 4 nearly new winter tyres for approx £100 and got some ford 16" 5 spoke alloys for another £100 so can use these over the winter months.

I'm sure others will come along and suggest some good products/ideas to you.
