it would also be dependant on what gear you are in. If you are in say 4th/5th/6th then it maybe better to pick up speed in 3rd and then change up a gear.

Expect to pay anything upto £180 for a set, sometime even more!

FK do some but they are for the 05-08 pre-facelift models only - I made that mistake.....luckily I recouped most of my money back but I was extremely annoyed as it said it would fit 08 models.

#467281 Mk 2.5 1.6 Tdci Vent Woosh/turbo?

Posted by salsheikh on 19 March 2015 - 01:52 PM

are you sure the woosh or air only happens when the car is spooling up?

i know that my car when the aircon is on it will pick up speed/turn on when i start driving but not when i am stationary. it does feel like a woosh of air when it kicks in.

Im guessing it was a powerflow or longlife exhaust
They can both make whatever you want

the only way to improve performance on the 1.8 tdci is by a remap. mines exactly the same and i cant justify spending £400+ for the remap so am happy to 'cruise' everywhere!

fair play James for having the balls to do it

luckily for me i have a nice flat drive and the old man has a pit i can use and he only lives 5 mins away from me. plus if i ask nicely works let me use there's. i dont do anything major, purely cosmetic stuff. leave the hard grafting to my dad who is a mechanic.

i had some cosmos heavy duty seats covers before and whilst they protected my seats from cr@p the only downside i had of them was the odd sliding about on them at first when taking on corners and then the odd static shock but that could have been my shoes. overall i was happy with the purchase. no pics sadly.

i armor all trim protectant around the dash as its not too shiny and doesnt leave a greasy finish.

here's a tip - when you go to a scrappy open up as many fuse boxes as possible and take the fuses out of them for free!

#453298 Focus Mk 2.5 Bumper Skirt Help!

I found this

but there is something about it that just isn't right, the OEM ones seem to blend in better to the body work where as that seem thicker perhaps on the edges?

a few people had tried their parts and found the fitting to be really poor. some had to pay the bodyshops to fix the poorly made skirts - fibreglass stuff.
