#348417 Gloss Black Grills

Posted by salsheikh on 28 March 2014 - 07:30 PM

like Karl says, do it yourself but read up on it and take your time. preparation is the key. £270 is very excessive btw.

simple steps:

sand the grills to key the surface - use a scotch pad to help you get into the grooves.

wash with soapy water and let it dry naturally

spray in a warm room with no wind

lots of light even coats, 15 mins apart

finish with lots of light even coats of lacquer.

use plastikote paint as it sticks to plastics really well. good luck

name and shame the guy on here so that others are warned.

when i was on seatcupra.net you could not say anything bad/negative towards any of the sponsors on there as your post would get deleted or your account would get deleted. its just how the admin team worked so you never got proper feedback on any of the sponsors on there.

hope you get it all sorted mate.

your best bet is ebay/gumtree.

also, try a website called motorhogs or other online breakers.

5dr skirts are very difficult to find

#321023 Boost Gauge And Usb

Posted by salsheikh on 13 January 2014 - 02:14 PM

to tee off for the boost gauge is simple ebnought on the 1.8tdci engines. there is a small l bend rubber pipe near to egr valve so add a t-piece to this for your boost gauge. i then ran the tube through the grommet in th bulkhead.

some pics of my set up here: http://www.fordowner...i-build-thread/

i do plan to change my current set up using an android media player/custom mount but just havent had the time to do it. plus it means i will have to remove my dash trim which is stuck down using sikaflex!!!

Gary, in order for you to fit the boost gauge panel, do you need to change to rest of the dash trim?

#320905 Going From 17" To 18" Alloys

Posted by salsheikh on 13 January 2014 - 09:19 AM

i've got 19's with no rack limiter and have had no issues at all, even when it was lowered! yes the wheel maybe close to the arch liner on full turn but it does not rub or cause any problems. i even bought the kit but didnt fit it.
