31 March 2013 - 08:49 PM

Hi,

Purchased some ST side skirts for my Focus, and fitted them this weekend:

Also got the front splitter from a ZS, just need to get the rear diffuser and I'm done!

Used it as an excuse to get some decent shots of the car too:

Thanks to iNath for fitting them :)

Mk3 Focus - Rear Spoiler

11 March 2013 - 09:04 PM

I'd been after a Zetec S spoiler for my MK3 Focus for some time, and snapped one up recently on eBay. It's since been sprayed and fitted, so I thought I'd share with you:

I think it enhances the looks nicely without being too OTT and I'm really pleased with it!

Many thanks to iNath for sourcing a good paint sprayer and for fitting it for me :)

Nasty Debris On The Roads...

30 December 2012 - 03:16 PM

Yesterday I was making my way down the A14 in the outside lane at about 75 mph when there was a noise like a stone or something rattling round the wheel arch. It disappeared after a second or so and I thought nothing more of it. This was followed by the unmistakable noise of a ruined tyre, so I pulled off into a slip road to find smoke pouring off the tyre and this...

And damage to the wheel arch lining and trim where it tore through...

One ruined tyre...

But luckily I have a spare and not a can of foam..!

£129.99 later and I now have a new tyre, thanks to this little beggar...

One expense I don't need after Christmas!

This got me thinking, who takes responsibility for ensuring the roads are kept clear of rubbish like this? I can't help thinking that if it had gone through my front tyre, or the road/weather conditions were poor, this may have had a different outcome!

Mk3 Led Sidelights

07 August 2012 - 08:20 PM

Seen a few people on here have upgraded to LED sidelights, but I've not yet seen a MK3 with them. Until now... bought a set on eBay and fitted them this evening.

Before, horrible yellowness:

Now, nice crisp white lights:

The photos don't really do them justice to be honest, they do look really smart :) Didn't even have to remove the headlights (but I now have very grazed knuckles and fingers!). Now I just need whiter headlights to match!

I also bought LED rear lights but unfortunately they are too big for the holes in the back of the light units so they've got to go back
