In Topic: Someone Mucking About With My Car?

May have to look into getting one mate living round here. Been needing to get gates put back on the driveway, but even they'll get nicked. Used to gave gates but pikeys nicked em when they made an illegal site round the corner, got up one morning and they had gone.

Although it won't stop anyone but it might alert you seeing as your bedroom is at the front and also scare people off you could get something like a window alarm and put it on the gate and flick it to "on" just before you go to bed or when you get back from work.

Cost of £5-£15 might be worth having a go. just put something waterproof around it and spray it black or same colour as your gate. Although the post man might also have a fright but that depends if you have a post box at the end of the drive of not as well.

In Topic: Where To Buy Number Plates?

Yes mate, that's what i've got. Easy to fit, lockable and if you want to change to show plates, it takes seconds. Also if you get plain holders instead of badged, they are £6 cheaper. Happy days.

are these the same?

price seems decent for a set of 2 and also its chrome so should match the chrome lip on the front and rear of a focus.

Please can someone help me find a streetka alloy. Just bought the car with no spare, and would prefer an alloy instead of the spacesavers...any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

what's wrong with a spacesaver?

I always put shell in if I can and personally think it lasts longer. otherwise its rubbish tesco fuel only because it's easier to get to for me. no point me driving 3-5 miles out of my way just to get some shell petrol.

In Topic: 12V Sockets

Same. I left a phone charger in mine once, WITHOUT the phone attached - so it was basically just powering a small LED on the plug. Struggled to start the next morning.

surely thats not from the small LED.

I have my bluetooth hands free kit and satnav charger plugged in to the 12v port on my focus and never had any battery problems. (left it for 3-4days before)
and my old fiesta had 12v port live after car was off so i once used it to charge my phone over night and no problems next day.
