I did try all the menu's before I contacted the dealer and there were none that would do it

Unlock the car. Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons for about 7 seconds. The indicators will flash 3 times.      

This works on my three door so should work on your 5 door

thanks for that,and yes it did work,should have thought of that one as thats what i had to do on my Mondeo,I did try that on the 6.5 Fiesta and it didnt work,had to use the menu's..........so I thought i would have to use the menu's on the MK7..........wrong........... so thanks guys, I think Ford Technical Dept need to get its act to-gether as I will be contacting the dealer to-morrow to tell them "how to do it",which will be interesting especially from a female......lol

bit of simple/silly question do all mk6 1.4 zetecs have trip comps with what mpg your doing how many miles you have in your tank etc??

  Not sure about the early ones,but my 2008 mk6 facelift does,average MPG,average speed, range at full tank, miles till empty,and trip meter,plus loads of other things that are accessable through the computor, hope that helps

The clutch is operated by hydraulics, and the fluid is shared with the brake system. It may just be needing a change of fluid, as it pulls moisture out of the atmosphere, and has a change-interval of 2-3 years. Otherwise, there is an old problem with the short rod linking the pedal to the clutch master cylinder;-- many people have needed new clips to secure the rod in place. P.S., the clutch slave cylinder is down in the bowels of the clutch bell-housing, and can leak, but will top itself up from the reservoir at the main hydraulics reservoir. Check the level. A leak at the slave cylinder is ominous and can knacker the grip of the clutch. That would need a new clutch assy. with slave cylinder and fluid and bleeding.

I have almost the same problem,when changing gear the pedal sometimes sticks on the return and suddenly pops up as your driving.its going in for a new master cylinder on the 3rd July (as per senior tech at lookers ford) so will let you know if it cures the problem...glad it under warranty.........

Hi need help
just got my 58 reg focus. The milage is showing 'miles' and my tripmeter is showing 'km'
is there axway to change both to 'miles'

should be able to reset it with the onboard computor toggle switches .see owners manual .......(i think)
