Is This Normal?

22 August 2012 - 05:20 PM

Hiya,

I'm hoping someone can help me and shed some light on what this noise is and what it means!

I recently got my Air Con regassed on my Fiesta (58 Plate) - and now every time I turn on the Fiesta Air Con, the air doesn't get cold and it just clicks, hisses and doesn't seem to engage. I've uploaded a video just so you can all see.

I'm not sure if its just not been re-gassed properly or if there is actually an issue - I must admit, I never noticed this before the Air Con regassing, and the air coming out was cold before (albeit not freezing cold hence the regas).

(Apologies for the video.. the "hiss and Click" might not be very noticeable, but i've also tried to focus on the compressor itself - You might have to turn it up to hear it..)

Rear Footwell Leaking?

04 July 2012 - 06:02 PM

Hi,

I've read quite a few times on this forum about people who've had a rear passenger foot well full of water! I had the same issue when I first brought my car, and the dealer wasn't too keep to help me!

Anyway, I've resolved the issue, and its no longer getting wet every time i go out in the rain!

I removed the rear seats, and lifted up the carpet and the soundproofing (I think its that..) and completely soaked the underneath of my car. After some time, water started to come through a TINY pin prick sized hole and once a tiny bit started to come through, it started to completely leak through like a tap left on!

I put some waterproof paste (I expect any waterproof kind of sealant would work though.) over the top of the hole as well as covered the underside of the car where the hole was, and voila! No more water in my car! ;)

Just thought i'd let some people know as it's a great community here :)

If i haven't described it very well, I'm sorry! But let me know, and I'll post a better guide with some pictures! (Obviously with the hole now sealed up..)

Bluetooth Module + Usb?

04 July 2012 - 01:36 PM

Hi there,

Just a quick question - Does the new focus have Bluetooth and USB? And if so, is the module from that the same as the one that would go in the fiesta to retro fit the USB?

Also, can someone find a price for the USB Cables? (I got the FINIS codes from here: http://www.fordowner...646#entry131646)

Cable from the USB socket on the Bluetooth Voice Control with USB Module, which connects to the USB cable from the IPOD Holder -
FINIS: 1520708

FINIS: 1520710 8M5T-14D202-CB IP Cable, From: 25-02-2008 RHD, BT/VC Phone Interface + USB Connect
SB Socket on the Ipod Holder -
FINIS: 1497339

Also, Nath or Lez - Can you please PM me regarding Ford IDS?

Much appreciated!
Chris

Ids Fiesta Help?

04 April 2012 - 09:36 AM

Hii

I think that this is my first post here... not too sure, but i've been reading these forums for some time now..

I brought a Fiesta Zetec second hand back in december and have been searching high and low for a Bluetooth module that accepts USB.. I think i've finally found one (will find out in a few days) but, i dont have IDS or know anyone with it!
So im hoping someone who has it here (and is close to me) has it and would be so kind as to activate USB IF it is the correct module!

Im located down south in England, and live in Basingstoke! I dont mind travelling iif there is someone who is willing to help as long as it is not too far :)

cheers!
Chris
