#245724 The Cost Of A Motoring Conviction.

Posted by NorthSussex on 22 March 2013 - 02:25 PM

Mobile speed cameras are never positioned so that if a motorist were to brake suddenly upon seeing the camera it would cause a collision, therefore they are usually located on a striate piece of road with a constant speed limit.  No excuses for exceeding the speed limit.   :)

If you get the garage to change the filter during a service you can easily check if it has been done, move the passenger seat fully forward and put a piece of masking tape on the seat runner before the car goes to the garage, the mechanic will need to push the seat back to replace the filter this will move the tape, he is also unlikely to pull the seat forward again. I'm not saying I don't trust garages but it does give peace of mind to know it's been changed and you have not been charged for something that,s not been done. <_<

Heath Robinson idea. Try glueing a magnetic catch onto the inside of the lid, if you can get hold of an old fridge or freezer, strip out the magnetic strip in the door seal, break two bits off about 5cm long and glue in.

It's the 5th position on the light switch and it's marked "AUTO" if that's not on your switch then you haven't got "Auto Lights"
