K&n?

19 May 2012 - 11:40 PM

Hey guy's after a little advice.
Is it worth fitting a K&N or equivelant to my MK2.5 1.8 petrol 58 plate?
I'm wondering if I would notice any extra horsepower and how it would sound.
Do you think I would need to do something to the exhaust also?
Please speak in simple terms :).

To Wrap Or Not To Wrap?

06 May 2012 - 10:42 AM

Hey fellas!
Yesterday I had my mk2 58 plate vision blue focus windows tinted and am really impressed with how it turned out!
I was speaking to the guy who did it and he said if I wanted to he could carbon fibre vinyl wrap whatever I wanted on the car for a really cheap price.
I am thinking about maybe having the silver part around the gear stick/handbrake done and perhaps the radio facia?

I was hoping I could get some advice on what parts look best in your opinions :).
Also he mentioned something about wrapping my lights also, any ideas to if this looks good?

Thanks in advance and today I will take some pics.

Regards.

Focus Alarm Going Off With Non Remote Key?

18 February 2012 - 01:57 PM

Hi I am having an issue with my 58 plate Focus.
Basically the car was supplied with 2 keys, 1 remote key and 1 non remote key.
Whenever I use the non remote key to unlock the car the alarm sounds and will do so until I put the key in the ignition and turn it so the dash lights display.
Any suggestions as to why it might happen?

Thanks.

Focus St Alloys

15 February 2012 - 04:09 PM

Heya fellas!
I am really wanting to purchase some Focus ST alloys for my focus and prererably have 18".
My problem is that I don't have that much cash to stump up. Does anyone know of a reputable company that I can purchase these on finance?
Many thanks in advance.

Edit: They don't have to be ST wheels I guess but something better than my existing alloys as they are small :).
If it helps my car is a Mk2 2009 in Vision Blue.

Should I Demand Or Just Be Happy? (Advice Please)

11 February 2012 - 03:13 PM

Hey fellas just after some advice please :).
Purchased myself a Focus 58 Mk2 Vision blue from my Ford dealer (ex mobility car)

Noticed that some of the paint was flaking off and I believe it was down to it not having mud flaps fitted.
The car went up to the body shop and the flaky paint now looks fine which I am happy about.
I previously noticed a stone chip on the bonet that goes down to the metal and is quite apparent to the naked eye being on the bonet.
There is also a smallish dent on the front drivers side wing that they could I am guessing have popped out also at the body shop?
I pointed it out and was told "don't worry everything will be sorted before you take it away"

The sales guy was not in today but I decided to go and see how they were getting on with the car.
It is back from the bodyshop but the stone chip remains so I am assuming they are just going to touch stick it in.
Should I accept that or should I kick up a fuss and demand it is done properly in the bodyshop as I am paying a good ammount of cash for this car?

What would you do in this situation? Should I just let them chip stick it and be happy or make them do it properly?
I dont want to look like a pain in the !Removed! but should I expect such things when buying a used car from them?

Thanks for any advice as I am stuck at the moment :).
