The part number here in Italy it's 1736143.
The price is about 3 €.

That's the picture of the sensor with the "adapter" plugged. The adapter is highlighted.

P.S.
The sensor is not "hanging", it is plugged in a slot on the dashboard.
In left hand drive cars the slot is located on the left of the climate control panel, about at the same height of the driver's knee.

So far there is some great stuff in this thread.

Yes... I'd really wish there was a thread with same great stuff for retro-fitting the cruise control... :-O

This is the content of the Bosch box:

As you can see there are many "rings" for different mounting angle; the sensors have to be parallel to the ground.
Check this table; it's from the Bosch manual:

Check also this URL, it's the Ford manual for mounting the after-market sensors:

P.S.
You can easily drill the holes without uninstalling it, that's not a problem at all, but I fitted the Bosch sensors by myself by uninstalling the bumber.
The problem is that you won't have enough room to work behind the bumper with your hands for placing the cables and all the rest. My suggestion is to take off the bumber, it's very easy.

In both cases you need to remove the bumper, but don't worry ... it's very easy; in 10 minutes it's done.
This is the "kit" I bought: Bosch Parkpilot URF7.

The Bosch manual tells you to install the sensors as in Hellshammer's car, but I like much more the "original" position.

Here you are a few pictures of my car after the job is done:

Here you are the info on how to uninstall the rear bumper (I'm sorry, but they are in Italian):

Last, but not least, here you are a picture showing the positions for the parking sensors installed by the factory (they are in centimeters):

My suggestion is to buy the Bosch Parkpilot; I bought them on amazon.de a few months ago and it was a quite good price.
In the box you'll find everything you need in order to install the sensors; you can put them in the same place as Hellshammer, or in the same place as original sensors.

For painting don't use the touch up kit, it won't do a good job.
Buy the color coded spray, it's the best solution.
