everyone looking to be driving a mad bus is welcome to ask engine tuning questions here.

This topic is dedicated to 2.5 turbo volvo engine. Focus ST owners with the same motor are very much welcome to participate. Be careful though - engines of smax and focus are not interchangeable. Hairy when on will shed more light on it.

No mechanical tinkerings on mine yet, but here's a list to date: -

Head lights now +50%
Side lights now 12w instead of 5w
Fog lights +50%
All interior bulbs changed to "warm white" LED's
Puddle lights also changed to LED's
Number plate lights changed to "blue" bulbs to match the LED's
Brodit clip & holder for iPhone
OE Sunshades for the summer

I bear no resemblance to the Mr B that you refer to.

That must be my twin.

its most likely to be an abs sensor fault or a footbrake sensor fault, any could throw up the lights. as for driving it back do the brakes feel efficent enough to it.as for the dealer if you dont get satisfaction reject the car it should have been checked before you got it.

Did you get this sorted?

The S-Max does have a very small problem with some ABS modules.

Yep... I thought so too!!!

I have since done some research and there are aftermarket units that use the steering mounted controls, but does not look like it is possible to hook them up to the convers+ display

Oh well... Never mind... will probably just go for a Tom Tom now - quick, painless and much cheaper!!!

Yes you can.

There are a number of members at the S-Max Owners Club who have done this.

Some needed new surrounds, but fairly straight forward.

You cannot buy a product yet that allows you to integrate in to the steering wheel controls.

The only way, currently, of achieving this is to order a new S-Max with the USB slot in the glovebox.

i have an 08 smax 2.0 petrol and the alarm was triggered today ever since when i lock the car the red i warning light flashes all the time
any ideas

The red "i" light should be on when the car is locked to tell you that the alarm is activated.
