yeah, use the cleaner...... then change the filter as it would of caught loads of crap maybe from the tank..........

ur right about the 1.8tdci its the best solid lump going...... if the injectors do go, then its only wear and tear.... the only thing i can suggest is good proper fuel, and maybe a injector cleaner of some sort, along with every service..... so like a bottle of red-x twice a year, and fuel filter once a year, oil/air filter n oil twice a year.......

i was told by bristol street, that if i had my card they could order 1 from germany and it would take 1 week maybe longer..

rang endon up this morning, told them, gave them the code, they promised me it would be there on the counter by dinner time wednesday.... good service

i had the similar prob with my focus, turned out to be the egr valve...... this happened not long after the warranty ran out... so i bought a blanking plate and fitted it... no probs since and this was almost 2yrs ago
