#464758 Dash Cam Problems...help!!!

Posted by DieselPig on 12 March 2015 - 08:12 PM

The battery voltage will fall as you are dropping over 100 amps to turn the motor over. The dash cam must have quite a high current demand.

The only way round it is to power the dash cam with a separate power supply topped up by the car.

Go for the MK7 1.6 diesel if you want to change.

If you can get 60 mpg from a 2.2 Honda stay with it, you won't get much more from a Fiesta.

Avoid the 1,4 diesel! With your budget you will be buying a money pit.

Hmm.. (puts pie down) best I've managed is 541 miles before I chickened out.

I bet the car manufacturers use this method and a waif like super model to get their fuel consumption figures

#443595 2014 Fiesta St3 Problem, Possible Crack Please Help

Does look like a crack but it is where the box section is manufactured and seam welded. Sounds like you had a stone caught in the disc brake.

The door is double skinned at the top so difficult to do a decent repair, door skin as a minimum, used would be cheaper if you fit it yourself and do the preparation for painting.

#439777 Buy Or Not Buy? Looks Dodgy?

Could have had a spring or shock replaced, should replace both not one. What's it like under the bonnet?

If its got 12 months MOT and HPI clear buy it.

#437544 Recently Bought A 07 Zetec 1.4 Climate

Posted by DieselPig on 17 December 2014 - 07:31 PM

If you don't like it sell it and buy something else, it's a second hand car and will not be perfect.

Don't waste money trying to make the car into your idea of perfection.

#428953 Fiesta Mk6 1.4 Zetec - Induction Kit/oil Catch Tank Question(S)

Posted by DieselPig on 16 November 2014 - 09:18 PM

Correct, the pipe is to vent gas into the airbox to be burnt by the engine and you will get some oil vapour. A catch tank is the way to go as the engine bay will end up with a thin film of oil mist over everything.

#398277 Fiesta Mk6 1.4 Style Coolant Leak

Posted by DieselPig on 16 August 2014 - 07:00 PM

Your mechanic has bodged it. I would never put any radiator fix in my car as it masks other potential issues.

He should have stripped it and fitted a new gasket, this problem can occur even on new cars of any make not just Ford.

Fuel pump, seems quite noisy on some cars.
