I was a bit in 2 minds weather to put a plate in,but I'm glad I did now.no never had an issue with starting,or flashing lights in the dash.better mpg,more torque.solid plate with no holes.works a treat.

Did my 2005 1.8 diesel, no problems. Car is running much better than before.

Well said foca.i've said for years that cars are running on tyres that are to wide. Why does a focus (for example) need to run on 205 tyres.

Having finally got around to blanking the valve. Have to say the car is running a lot smoother, not so much smoke out the back on start up, mpg has gone up to 50-52mpg (according to computer) so am well chuffed. Changed front discs and pads as well, so car is now going great again.

Ok chaps,going to put the blanking plate on the egr,question for you.which is the best place to put it,bulk head side (rear) or from the side(right) looking at engine. thanks again.
