Screech When Engine Turned Off

Hi,  

When I turn the engine off occasionally I get a high pitched screech coming from the right hand side (sitting in the car as opposed to looking under the bonnet) of the engine on my1.6 tdci.  It is only occasional and has also happened on start up but is more frequent when i turn it off. It lasts a couple of seconds at most then goes away.  Any ideas?

Hi. Is the turbo issue that the focus seems to suffer with also a problem for the fiesta? There are a lot of posts about the focus when running a google search but not so many on the fiesta.

Ford Fiesta Tdci Issues

Hi,

I have had my 1.6 tdci zetec s fiesta about 8 months, it has 51k on the clock and has fsh. It has been a total gem since buying it and never caused any problem. Since buying it though I have heard about turbo issues. Searches on google etc seem to only bring up focus issues, not fiesta. Do the fiesta's suffer the same issues?? It is a 57 plate too, one site said they change the design in 2007 so hopefully I have missed any issues.

I have also read about some filter that blocks and can cost a fortune to repair. Something like a particulate filter, is this also the case.

I am just wanting to understand the potential issues to be honest
