Regarding the MPG -

I'm driving gently to and from work, making a token effort to "run in" the engine a bit so not labouring it hard,

Approx 50% town driving and 50% motorway (but only up to 70mph for short periods)

I'm managing to get around 54mpg combined, which I'm happy enough with.

In Topic: Anyone Got Ecoboost Fiesta With Deflation Detection ?

24 March 2013 - 12:06 PM

You in luck, I picked my new Fiesta up Earlier today (Fri) and the salesman set it up in front of me. It was very brief but from memory, he went into the settings in the menu and chose the option for it, as it was deactivated he had to activate it and held the button down while it memorised the pressures and then it was set. I can only describe it as being similar to storing a pre set radio station but do it in the main menu itself.

That help?

Yes, that's helpful thanks.

I was fairly sure that it should always appear as a menu item.

It helps me confirm what I ought to see (but don't...)

Does anyone have any experience with the "Deflation Detection System"?

I paid for it as a factory-fitted option, but there seem to be no mention of it in the Vehicle Settings menu of my new car. The manual implies it should be in there.

Apart from that, is there any way to confirm whether it's actually fitted / enabled (short of letting a tyre down....)

Thanks

It's OK, Peter.. I should have my car tomorrow to check.

The main thing is, I know not to rush out and order just any-old MK7 mats; I'll need to check with the supplier that they are compatible.

I think they've changed the fixings of them now.

Cheers for the quick reply David. I won't rush into a hasty eBay purchase, then...
