Hello members, i recently bought a cmax but the owners manual and radio (ford6000cd) manual were missing.I want to replace the cabin air filter and have been viewing utube videos.Apparently the job is much easier if the multi wired plug is disconnected from the fuses carrier under glove compartment. But doing so will interrupt power to the radio . A radio code will then be required. In order to find out the radio serial number the radio must be pulled out requiring 4 special keys that i do not have. Does anybody have a link where i can get a code just using the vin number on car body ?

Saving Settings

I need to disconnect the battery on my cmax. But i dont have a radio code.
Is it possible to save the radio and engine management settings by connecting the leads to a battery charger before disconnecting them from the battery ?

Notchy Gears

Hello everyone, ive just bought an 06 1.6 tdci zetec cmax. All the gears are a bit notchy hot or cold, particularly 1st. I took the cover off bottom of gearstick and noticed that there is like this pinky coloured soapy waxy type lubrication on the ball at the base of the gearstick also on linkage rod connections. Does anyone know if you can put any old grease on or wether you have to use something special. In due course i will be taking cover off beneath engine and inspecting linkages at gearbox end. Has anybody had the same problems as me ?

Hi everyone, i have just bought a 2006 cmax 1.6 zetec tdci. Unfortunately it dosent have a handbook. Does anyone have a link so i can download a handbook. Some links ive tryed are over complex and require registering and passwords etc. I just want a link that is quick and straightforward.

Clutch Peddle

Hello members, has anyone had to remove/refit clutch peddle on a Fusion such as when clutch master cylinder needs replacing. I had to replace this on my fusion. And it was extremely difficult to get clutch pivot bolt back in because of the spring that is attached to master cylinder and clutch peddle. There are nylon locator bushes that slot in both ends of steel pivot bush and I actually damaged them triying to get pivot bolt in. Is there an easier way of doing this job ?
