Kangaroo Ka

13 July 2013 - 01:40 PM

Hi all,

A friend has a Ka, 2004 I think, not sure of engine size, she's complaining that it keeps kangarooing when accelerating, it doesnt do it all the time, it sounds like a fuel problem, but I am unsure, any ideas? I have heard of VW's having a similar issue caused by the coil pack,

Cheers,

Peter

Parts Required!

17 May 2013 - 05:23 PM

Hi all,

Is anyone breaking up a 2004 mondeo in the Northamptonshire area? my dad's had a prang in his and the front looks worse for wear, not 100% sure what we'll need but definately a bonnet, both front wings, front bumper, passenger headlight assy, and radiator, I'll update the list as we pull it apart and discover what lies beneath! Also, any hints on how to get the bonnet open as it won't open using the key hole behind the badge!

Cheers,

Peter

Mk3 Mondeo Idle Madness!

11 May 2013 - 05:32 PM

Hi all,

My dad has a 2004 54 plate mondeo, mk3 I think, with the 1.8 duratec petrol.
It has developed a fault recently whereby when coasting along it idles at 1300 rpm, but when the car comes to a complete standstill the idle drops to normal,
My fiesta does a similar thing but it has always dobe this, while the mindeo hasn't,

Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Cheers,

Peter

Fiesta Mk6 Fuel

23 February 2013 - 06:12 PM

Hi all,

I'm about to start work experience with a company in barwell, Leicestershire, which will double the amount I spend on fuel each month. However, as I know that my 57 plate 1.6 fiesta zetec s' fuel guage isn't the most accurate, im quite tempted to simply brim the tank, fill up a fuel can to carry in the boot, and drive the car until it completely runs out, finding out once and for all how many miles I can get off a full tank, then use the contents of the fuel can to get home, or to the nearest petrol station. My only queary is whether I can simply put more fuel in after it runs completely out and stops, or whether the fuel pump has to be primed or will object in any way,

Any advice much appreciated,

Peter

Clutch Pedal

12 February 2013 - 04:26 PM

Hi all,

I have 57 plate fiesta zetec s 1.6, mk 6 I think, and while driving home, ironically from dropping my dad off to colect his mondeo from the garage, when pushed, the clutch pedal made a snapping sound, went straight to the floor and wouldn't spring itself back up. I was able to pull it back up with my foot, and it worked fine all the way home, any ideas as to what it may be that caused this?

Many thanks,

Peter
