Hi. 

 

Im looking to replace my brake pads. looking online I'm seeing there are quite a few different makes etc. I wondered if anyone could tell me who is best to go with? I don't want to be spending loads of money but at the same time I'm not going to skimp seeing as brakes are pretty important!!  

 

Also where is best to buy them from? 

 

One more thing at the risk of sounding stupid is there any merit to doing all 4 of them at once or is it okay to say do just fronts first then a month later or something the rears? I'm pretty new to doing a lot of car maintenance myself but lately I'm very up for new challenges and saving money!

So I was trying to change the bulb in my glove box to an LED bulb, So far I have blown to fuses so I think I have the wrong bulb...or I've buggered the wiring, More investigation to be done today once Ive cleared all the snow off the car! 

Any way while looking at all the wiring around the glovebox etc and looking for footwell bulb holders etc taped into looms I found this plug taped up to one of the looms. I wondered If anyone knows what it is or weather its something I could plug a footwell bulb holder on to etc. I also found one behind a blanking panel under the radio. 

If anyone could identify it I would be very grateful. I dont wanna go tinkering to much incase it sets off airbags or something!

Hello All
Thought Id share my very minor mod for a 3.5mm jack socket. Ford wanted it put in the glove compartment how ever I wanted to be able to plug in/out whenever I wanted and didnt want a wire coming out the glove box looking messy etc.
I have instead put it in one of the blanking panels by the rear/front screen heater switches
I think it looks pretty smart!

The car did not come with the lead already installed so after a bit of research I found one on Ebay that went straight to a 3.5mm Jack. I simply cut that off and soldered it onto a socket instead. Purchased for about £3.
The cable was about £13

this is first mod. I want to now go for footwell lights...a bit of research is going to be needed I think!

Hi All. I am new to this so be nice.
I have a 1.8 TDCI Focus 07 plate. I believe it is classed as a facelift model?

I bought the care second hand and it has an annoying rattle or vibration noise but only at around 200rpm and only when driving. I cannot get it to do it when the car is just in neutral.
It also doesn't do it until a few minutes into driving.
It has had all of the mechanics I took it to confused tho most of them think it is something within the dash. but none have been able to pin it down for certain.

It is really annoying and I'd like to know if anyone else has had the same problem or if anyone might have any ideas of how to remedy it?

Any comments or suggestions will be very welcome.
