Same as mine but I opted for Nav to, must say harder to keep clean than I had hoped though!

Undo the few tork screws and pull down the plastic sill panel it also has some little white clips attached to the plastic these come out as part of the plastic sill.
Surprising amount of dirt gathers inside these sills, this is from one side:
I recommend cleaning the area with a bucket of solution to remove all dirt rather than a hose because you don't want to force water through the holes in to the sill cavity,
Keep the Torx screws for fitting the skirts and discard the plastic sills.

I recommend fitting a set of custom mud flaps to protect the skirts from stone chips,
