There are two bolts on the front and two at the back and you have to unclip the footwell panels and take the handbrake surround off aswell, then it's abit fiddly trying to get it to go past the handbrake.

When I installed mine the connector was taped up behind the footwell was wrapped in gray foam.

4. The console i received had some wiring for a FoMoCo 8M5T-15K603-KA. This is some sort of an antenna. Any idea what it is?

I think that's for the keyless entry.

I'm also in the process of this and yes that connector does plug straight into it.
