I've ordered a Fiesta Sport (equivalent to the Zetec S) from 2013. I've ordered it with 205/40-17 tyres, however I'm worried they might rub.

My dealer says Ford recommends mounting some sort of turning limiter (essentially you can turn the wheel slightly less with this), however the dealer itself claims they've had no issues with rubbing on the cars they've fitted with 205/40-17. (Mind you they've only done it on the previous model, since the new one hasn't really been sold yet)


So: Does anyone in here have any experience with 205/40-17 tyres on a lowered Fiesta ? (the Zetec S is lowered 25mm as far as I know)

I've ordered a brand new Fiesta from 2013, but I was wondering - If I want 17" rims what tyre size would I be going for ?

I'm figuring either 205/35-17 or 205/40-17, but I'm not certain which one is the correct one ?

The stock 15" rims are 195/50-15 which is a perfect match for 205/35-17 (exactly samme circumference), but when searching on google I find a lot of talk about 205/40-17.

So does anyone here know the right answer ?

I've just ordered a new Fiesta 1.0 125hp Sport (Not sure the sport is available in all countries, it's basically a titanium with lowered springs, larger spoiler, larger rims, and so forth)

However I was wondering, what exactly is the difference between the 100hp and 125hp version of the engine ?

According to the papers I could find the 100hp version produces 170nm of torque, whereas the 125 version produces 200nm. I've however been unable to find out whether it's merely caused by the 125hp version having overboost and the 100hp not having it, or if they actually tweaked the engine somehow (thinking larger turbo pressure or similar)

So what I'm wondering is really: What causes the 125hp version to have those extra 25hp ?

If anyone has a dyno graph of the 100hp version that'd be a huge help as well (As I can easily find dyno graphs for the 125hp on google)
