When I spoke to garage they told me that EGR valve isn't included in warranty, but after much haggling they are going to have a look.  Are turbos normally included in warranties?

I reset the 'miles done' after I got Diesel from garage, which was about 10 minutes before I started driving on motorway. 

Thanks for the replies.  The MAF was a genuine Ford part, much to the garages disgust, as they had to pay more for it!  Forgot to mention, and this may point to something different - would the EGR valve affect the trip computer, as while I was driving on motorway last week, after about an hour of driving at pretty much constant 70mph, the computer said average speed was 16 MPH.

Which part of the engine would I need to be looking at, as I know some basics, but am not that mechanically minded.  Is it ok to drive for a while with it disconnected(as the fault doesn't happen all the time), or can i only drive it for a short distance?
