Squeeky Brakes

My brakes started to make squeeky sounds earlier this summer, and it just got worse, so I replaced both disks and pads. Now they are worse. When turning left or right i get the "eeek eeek eeek eeek " sound. A firm push on the pedal or turning the steering wheel makes it go away. I also have some insane whine from the brakes when going above 120 km/h.


I have allways replaced my brakes myself, and never expirenced this problem. What could this be?

Saw this fiesta on instagram the other day.


Can anyone here point out what type of grill/upper grill and bonnet modification this is?


The stock upper grill is just about the same height as the ford badge, And the bonnet is curved above the badge. Take a look at this one:


Attached one with a stock upper grill/bonnet also for comparison.

I know most here have gas engines, but I just came by this PDF and Im a bit shocked.
If you have a fiesta/focus with this engine you would want to read this.


Mk7 1.6Tdci (90Bhp) Remap - Through Odb?

Have tried to get my fiesta remapped, but the tuner had problem doing this over the odb port. We tried several tools without any success.


Have any of you guys remapped your tdci? If so, how was is it done? Through odb, or did they need to take the ECU out of the car?

Egr Blocking Gone Wrong?

The 1.6 tdci 90bhp in the fiesta doesnt look the same, but i managed to loosen the two long bolts that holds the egr house to the block.

Sliding the blocking plate in the gap between the block and egr hous was a real PITA, as you cant see the gap, only feel it. And there is not enough room for the blocking plate to slide paralell into the gap, you must wedge it into place.

Well, job was done, took it for a spin. Wow what a difference, to the WORSE!!!
The engine now sounds like its working much harder, and it felts like Im driving with 5adults in the car, its allot slower than it user to be.

I opened it up again, and placed my hand around the egr whilst the engine was running, couldnt feel any laks, my boost gauge still shows 30psi at full throttle, so no boost leaks.

Any ideas?
