#313721 New Rules On Dpf Removal Starting Feb 2014

Posted by hillesleyhenry on 20 December 2013 - 06:02 PM

Ive blanked the egr,
And I've got a 2.5" cat back duplex exhaust, more air mix with the fumes coming from two pipes instead of one,
So my emissions will be 50% less than a 1.7" single exit

Won't they check for a certain type of emission with a DPF though. I have egr blanked and duplex rear section too, just unsure about DPF removal. Also I have no rear silencer unlike yours, just a centre. Does this mean my DPF could be different to yours? Have you deleted the egr software off the ecu out of interest?

#305328 Wheel Nut Covers

Posted by hillesleyhenry on 14 November 2013 - 12:59 PM

Cheers for the replies guys think I will look at solid 19mm nuts, however cannot really find any on eBay, I found 4 but they were 30! Thinking about just replacing the caps as they go from ford...

#304973 Wheel Nut Covers

Hi, had new tyres put on yesterday and the guy came in with the wheel nut cover that had been shredded pretty much. He said they usually last 3 years and that it's a terrible design. Anyway anyone know the best thing to do as the nut covers are apparently 8 each from ford! Do people get plastic ones and then get a smaller wrench to take them off with? Or replace with chrome metal ones so it will fit the standard socket wrench in the boot? Just to let you know they are the 17 inch zetec s alloy wheel nuts (which I'm using with my st wheels)

#299220 Genuine Ford Rs 18'' Alloy Wheel Set Of 4 White 288.00 @ Ford Parts Uk

Posted by hillesleyhenry on 24 October 2013 - 04:08 PM

Couldn't see this had been posted anywhere else, but I was browsing HUKD and came across this:

GENUINE Ford RS Accessory 18'' Alloy Wheel Set Of 4 White Painted Finish £288.00 @ Ford Parts UK

Seems like a great price to me, from a Ford main dealer (Foray Motor Group) too.

It's a good price but add in tyres at £100 per corner and it doesn't look so appealing  <_<  But i may just be smug as i got my genuine gunmetal facelift st wheels with decent tyres for under £400, minus the selling price of my zs wheels = £75. Result!  ;)

#290063 Anyone Know The Curb Weight Of The Focus Mk2.5?

Posted by hillesleyhenry on 14 September 2013 - 08:38 AM

Haha 1750!? Jesus that can't be right? I've got a zetec s 1.6 tdci with sat nav, voice control etc and 18inch alloys so probably weighs quite a bit, but hoping not as much as that!

#289671 More Power 1.8 Tdci

Posted by hillesleyhenry on 12 September 2013 - 09:35 AM

Hybrid turbo and bigger injectors will bring more power and you could get up to 200bhp out of the 1.6tdci 110, probably more out of the 1.8tdci. But it's simply not economical as, upgraded clutch, brakes and maybe gearbox will be needed and for the cost you may aswell sell it and buy the 2.0 tdci focus then remap to 170. Or buy a 170 2.0 diesel.

155 is dam good and can't see why you would need more, traction would become an issue surely. Mine at 110 or 120 as they supposedly run at is quite nippy and surprises me at times, when I remap soon to about 155 with dpf removal I can see it flying!

#251126 Focus Zetec S Mk2.5 Coilovers Or Lowering Springs? How Easy To Fit?

Posted by hillesleyhenry on 11 April 2013 - 09:41 AM

Hi mate,
I'll be fitting the ford approved eibach lowering springs
Will lower the current height by 20mm front 30mm rear

When fitting lowering springs you will require :
Rear camber adjusment bolts from eibach
Eibach Pro lowering springs (different springs for petrol/diesel)
Ford steering limiter kit.

When fitting coil overs you will require:
Rear camber adjusment bolts from eibach
Ford steering limiter kit.
Front camber tower adjustment kit from eibach.

I personally think the eibach kit will be low enough considering the existing ride height with 18" fitted

this is before lowering:

Thanks for the info, have you fitted the kit yet, if so how has the handling changed? Also what's the overall cost of all these items for lowering springs? and are they easy to fit overall? If not how much for fitting generally, as surely tracking etc would all have to be done after? Sorry for all the Qs just intrigued lol

#250636 Focus Zetec S Mk2.5 Coilovers Or Lowering Springs? How Easy To Fit?

Hi guys got a focus zetec s 2010 on 18inch st alloys, just wondering whether coilovers or springs? and if any additional mods would be required?... Price is a factor too, mostly want want for appearance but dont want to spoil the handling!

#244377 Front Splitter Ford Focus Zetec S

Posted by hillesleyhenry on 17 March 2013 - 11:37 AM

TripleRcomposites manufacture a splitter for the mk2.5 ZetecS supplied in gloss black with pre-drilled holes in the splitter for easy alignment,
Holes are required to be drilled in the underside of the front splitter but not atall visible when fitted or removed,

Fitting requires two jacks or axle stands to raise up the front end to get under there and drill the holes,
Preferably two people to hold and fit too,

Cost me 120 pounds from TripleRcomposites email Kevin and tell him lenny from fordownersclub.com sent you: triplercomposites@live.co.uk
