#395816 Clive's New Works Transport

Posted by Turvey on 09 August 2014 - 03:14 PM

Further to my question on what Clive would do if he was given an Astra van for work, I came across this.

A small box trailer behind it and you'd be sorted  :)

#385642 How Can Washing A Car Be So Hard?!

Posted by Turvey on 13 July 2014 - 10:34 PM

Don't wash your car on warm, sunny days. The water dries before you get a chance to chamois/microfibre it off right  ;)

#383243 Hire Car - Not A Focus!

Posted by Turvey on 07 July 2014 - 07:56 PM

In our local gardai station theres a fiesta & focus estate, unmarked cars are usually mondeos.

Clive quick question. ..our area would be semi rural, why estate cars? I can undetstand for carrying dogs but surely on back roads estates would be nightmare, I drove my dad's Nissan primara estate thing was like a bus

Estates are generally used to allow for carriage of more kit in the back.
Personal kit bags plus road cones, signs and lights take up a lot of space.
Also estates tend to have tougher suspension to compensate for heavy loads which is useful.

Sent from my S5

And being Ireland, they can throw more drunks in the back to take them home!!!  ;)  :D  :D  :D

Thought this might interest someone...

Two things stuck out about this ad(nothing actually about the car though)

1. Why do people insist on taking pictures with some fancy automatically applied photoshop type effect on it? Makes it look like they've got something to hide.

2. The person selling this car has covered up the rear number plate BUT has left the front one clear!

Cheers mate  :)

I actually cheated and originally came across this website which used to have an ambigram generator http://www.wowtattoos.com/.  This seems to be off-line so I've found this one to play around with  http://www.flipscript.com/ambigram-generator.aspx

The unlucky fella will be done for poaching next. ;)

I'm sure you'll know this pointless fact but he wouldn't be legally be able to take the deer home and eat it, however any car following(or anyone else for that matter) would be able to  :)

I 'worked' on a Vauxhall yesterday

Stopped the truck behind a damsel in distress yesterday standing beside her car with her phone in her hand. Asked her what the problem was and she said she had a flat tyre but no spare! Turns out she DID have a spare though

So I changed it for her and got her on her way again.

Good deed done  :innocent:  :innocent:

Did you hear that? That was the sound of a can of worms being opened!  :)

I've just bought these  http://www.amazon.co...0?ie=UTF8&psc=1

More than happy with both of them although it must be said I don't do the mileage of most folk on here.

Quickest way is either to pull the pump out of the back of the tank (remove arch liner and reach back) to let the fluid drain or use a syphon pump.

Or leave a hose running fresh water into it for a couple of minutes, Save faffing about getting mouthfuls of washer fluid  ;)
