L Driver Insurance

25 April 2015 - 10:20 PM

What's the correct/best/cheapest way to do it?

18 year old daughter has just started taking lessons and wants to buy a small car to go out in with either her mum or(unfortunately) me to get extra practise.

We also would like to be able to use it as a second car for going to work etc

Does daughter insure the car with us as named drivers? Do I/we insure it as a second car with daughter as a named driver? Do we get insurance to cover any driver?

Any advice gratefully received.

Ford Won't Allow Our Local Ford Garage To Sell New Mustangs!!!

24 April 2015 - 07:27 PM

According to a close family member of the owners of our local Ford garage, Ford have refused to allow them permission to sell the new Mustang!

Apparently, allegedly etc it's because their showroom isn't big enough!

If true it's not a very nice way to treat a family business that have been selling Fords for over 100 years!!!

Rhetorical Legal Question

19 April 2015 - 05:23 PM

Just the way my weird mind works!

Just say I go into a supermarket for a case of beer, I get to the checkout but realise I've left my wallet at home. I've gone in with my 15 year old son who has his debit card with him. Would using his card constitute him buying the beer?

Any Openreach Employees Here?

06 April 2015 - 11:23 PM

Having serious problems trying to get phoneline installed into our new house. Apparently Openreach only update their address database once a month which means that we can't even order a new line until the end of the month!

I dont suppose anyone knows of a direct number  I can call to try and get things moving a bit faster? PM if necessary ;)
