Power Loss When Engines Cold

10 December 2014 - 09:15 PM

Wondering if any of you could help with a issue with my car.

It's a 2009 fiesta zetecs s petrol. After driving on 3 hour motorway journey i pulled up and noticed a radiator hose had split an was squirting coolant everywhere.

I fixed the hose and refilled with coolant and water but now when driving the car it loses power randomly (revs die of and throttle doesn't do anything or bogs down). But this only happens when the engine is cold and once warm it works perfectly.

I've had the car scanned and the mechanic mentioned a error on the air temperature so i replaced the MAF sensor but the issues still there.

So I'm wondering if its possible the thermostat may be at fault? Also got error code 0125 in the test menu.

Any ideas?
