I don't like it when it rains, although with waxing the car does get an awesome beading on it ;)

No, I didn't stop I was just slow because of the heat. But the 29 hours were done in 3 days so not nonstop. Just summarized the workingtime from the 3 days and came out to 29 hours. The result was worth it :)

Yeah that's what I thought, thought you must of went to sleep at some point aha

Cheers chaps. As for the mat fixing points (drivers side), are they already installed in the carpet?

Yep :), two round lugs you push the mats over

That looks awesome :) definately gonna just get the stuff I'm missing and spend a full day doing it

Do it bud you won't regret it!
I didn't even look after my old one nowhere near as much as this one, but when I took it to trade it in it felt nice when they said how good of a condition it was in :)

29h detail? Surely that's not 29hour aha!
Does look great though, what did you use?

I agree with you Mental_Atom! Gave a bit more detail then I did aha.

5-6hours though!? No wonder you said it gets dark at night now ;)

Clean your car is an awesome site though, i see the drying towel is out of stock, think I must of ordered the last one earlier haha.

The initial cost of everything may seem high but most of the stuff lasts ages and keeps your new car looking nice! Dodo juice hard candy wax is another product I would recommend and a single application lasts 2-3 months which isn't bad.

Just read reviews, take the plunge and experiment until you find your ideal set up :)

Enjoy!

Defo get the Lockwood sill protectors

Your bulb list is looking good, and I may copy it ;) aha
The blue footwell lights would look good as they would match the dash better.

Have a look a triple r composites website, they do a front splitter for the fiesta which sets off the car well I think, hopefully ordering one myself soon.

Also if you havnt already, buy some decent car cleaning and detailing products! Got to keep it looks clean and shiney. I would recommend www.cleanyourcar.co.uk
As they have great products at decent prices, really good service to :)

Anyone know where to get the owners club stickers from?

I don't know why the Zetec S doesn't come with ambient lighting and the Zetec does.

The differences with the ambient lighting as far as I'm aware are..

Zetec: light above the glovebox
Under the door arms
Footwell lighting

Doesn't have cup holder lights

Zetec s: footwell lighting
Cup holder lights

No above glovebox or
Under door arm lights

1.5k - 2k, and when it does it's a great car. I guess a remap or induction kit could improve the lower revs and lag

Driving home tonight pulling out of a junction I kind of wish I had the st, as the zs power before the turbo kicked in feels slow!

But then...

Got onto the dual carriage way and all was forgiven, give the car some revs and stretch the gears out and it flies! Can only imagine how savage the st is aha

#400665 Insurance For A New Car

I'm with admiral and have been for the last few years. Always shop around but either admiral, bell or elephant (all the same company) always come out cheapest :)

I think it depends where you live, age, drive exp, etc so everyone will probably have different quotes

Solves the issue of bedding the tyres and clutch in too ;)

#399765 Ford Fiesta Ecoboost Hot Magenta Or Candy Blue?

Posted by JoeZS19 on 19 August 2014 - 10:55 PM

Thanks guys! I've just ordered the Candy Blue. I agree, a change will be good and it's a really interesting colour, It looks different in every photo I see. Really excited!!!

Different lights and weather make it look different to, keep it clean and waxed/polished and you'll love it :)
