#440447 Some People...

Posted by Clarky2013 on 30 December 2014 - 02:57 PM

Echoing Marks comments, I'd go for a used door from a scrappies, if they can repair the dent it probably will need re spraying. All that adds up and you may find it costs more than getting a used door

#440144 How Could Ford Improve The Fiesta?

Posted by Clarky2013 on 29 December 2014 - 11:41 AM

Also need to remember if the 'improvements' we have listed here were added, then the fiesta wouldnt be so cheap and may put people off

(By cheap I mean you can pick up a new st3 from DTD for little over 16k)

I think Ford got the ST just right for the price. Yes there are options I would like that Ford dont offer, but for the money I think its spot on. (Apart from those awful Bridgestones lol)

AUTOGLYM!! I haven't ever used any other product, and haven't felt the need to! Always happy with the performance. Even though it isn't the cheapest stuff going. I find ordering from Amazon usually knocks a few quid off.

Remember new car = new sponge!

Lol

New Car = ditch the sponge and get yourself a lambs wool mitt!

If you change the bulbs and something breaks with the headlight or whatever just change the bulb back to standard and take it to Ford.  Job done

As I've said previously, it's that dealer franchise. Really bad customer service I've had from them. You have to kick off to get anything done which is not a good way of doing business

drivers side beam will be lower than passenger to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic

I wouldnt go above 4300k, purely because 4300k xenon's are what audi, bmw etc use so they look oem, higher like 6k would look blue and crap imo.

Dave, best setup and I think most people would agree, without going HID, you want H7 Phillips Crystal Visions and H1 Nightbreaker unlimited's and H11 nightbreaker unlimiteds for the fogs if you want to change them.

Panther black with black st standard alloys , split and spray the headlights black, black bonnet vents , gloss black exterior plastics, black trc splitter , no stickers or stand out decals just black and mean. Subtle mods but will make all the difference

Cheers guys yer I'm real happy with the splitter. I'm like you phill don't like to visually change things but since owning this I've started playing cause I know I will be keeping the car for a long time. But I do have a limit I want it to look nice and not Chavy/tacky I want everything to look like it was done in factory as extras :) only other exterior mod think I'm doing is the plastics all painted the correct colour.

I agree with this completely, I hate seeing cars that look like they crashed into Halfords and come out the other side, small changes such as plastics gloss black look great and look standard, and the front splitter , not drastic just a nice touch to the front, drastic changes such as lowering 50mm springs so the car barely gets over speed bumps ruin the look for me.
