In Topic: What Do You Like Better Mk7 Or Mk7.5?

30 October 2014 - 02:11 PM

Depends, Mk7 on regular Fiestas but ZS with trim packs and the ST look far better, not a fan of the chrome grill at all, plus some of them the wheels are just too small, plus the original ones had the red dash lights and computer light which imo is better than the mangey blue

And I am the opposite. I like the red/pink hues of BMW interiors. But the fiesta doesn't pull it off and the blue looks nicer to me.

What I can say for the mk7 though is the petrol variants are bulletproof. Sigma engines don't ever want to die really.

Honestly the MPG figures for your car vary massively depending on the driver, whether aircon is on or not, electrical load etc. Even down to the tyres used and their rolling resistance. But how the car is driven makes the biggest impact on fuel economy. Have a look at hypermiling tips online.

Can't understand how a Sony branded system can sound worse than a standard Ford system and whoever makes it!

In the old days it was all Visteon I believe. Not sure if it's different now...

In Topic: Can I Use Different Size Tyres On Back?

19 September 2014 - 11:19 AM

I would say no, since they will be a different size circumference to the front wheels. The 40 or 45 relates to the percentage of the width of the tyre is tall in the sidewall. On rwd cars with a staggered setup, the rear tyres will use a lower sidewall rating in order to compensate for the wider tyre. But from me the answer is no. Use the same size tyres all the way round.

If I were an officer I would pull for the liverpool logo alone! ;) Legality aside, I prefer no GB marker or anything. Just the plates themselves.
